    Actually, the Los Angeles Public Library has something called "Project Bestseller", where you can check out newer books (NYT list, I guess) for $0.15 per day. It's restricted to a few hot new titles, the rest of the collection is free to borrow.

    Anyone know if the issues with VIA chipsets, ACPI and APIC were resolved between 2.6.3 and 2.6.8?

    Running a K7T266A, I had do disable ACPI, APIC, and Local APIC, or I'd get hangups and USB wouldn't work.

    Yeah, my first thoughts on 9/11 was the US would learn a lesson and adopt a sane policy with Israel, and the rest of the world.

    This analogy is not exact, but... when a child throws a tantrum, you don't give him what he wants, as it only encourages more tantrums.

    So, you are proposing that the target of the tantrum give the tantrum thrower what he wants.

    Actually, in the US, since a court has ruled so, Microsoft is a de jure monopoly, not a de facto one.

    I'm not sure whether the EU has ruled one way or the other on this.

    I'd love to see fencing. But if history is any guide, the 2AM broadcast will simply be a repeat of the primetime cast, showing some pre-teen girl running around a mat holding a ball (rhythmic gymnastics).
