Hmmmm, I guess you dont pay taxes. Or ever use the post office. Part off the cost of sending a letter is the cost of receiving it. THe USPS is self sufficent, so money spent there goes towards all aspects, including delivering to your house.

I'm not saying I told you so, but backup your important stuff man. I'll be the first to admit I don't backup stuff like I should, and maybe I've been lucky. I'd have to say, if I lost everything, I wouldn't be happy, but I know its replaceable. Stuff I know I need to keep is burned on a CD. Sure, that could be scratched, broken, etc, but not likely, cause it jsut ists there.
I feel for you tho, I really do. Its a hard way to learn a lesson, but I bet you learned it.

Yea, they are doing that, but have you played them? Football, is football, so the actual game isn't going to change, but there are inmprovemnets in the graphics, extras, etc. It really makes a difference. Playing the old game isnt nearly as much fun as the news one. You may be right someday, but for now I love the newest releases of thier football (sports) games.

Ok, you can give me a -5 for this, and I sincerely am not trying to be mean here, but...
They got lung cancer from cigarettes. Yes, the manufacturers lied about the complications, and they should pay for that. The fact of the matter is your grandparents chose to smoke, and it is very obvious that inhaling smoke is bad for you, even without a warning. I do not need a warnig label telling me that drinking gasoline is going to kill me, and I didn't need a warning on cigarettes to tell me that they weren't good for me either.
I'm sorry if I offended you, that was not my purpose. I understand your plight, but I do not think that was the point of this book.

yea, wait until they cause a problem, and they probably will. I was like you and waited a few years. I finally got mine pulled, but since I had waited a few years, they had turned, and the roots had grown in thicker. All of this made the extraction much more difficult.
While I was out for the actual extraction, my recovery time was much worse than the average person. I went through a lot of pain because I waited. I would venture to say that they tell you to have them removed sooner than later cause the suckers are going to have to come out, and the longer you wait, the worse it is for you.
Now having said all that, this is what second (and third) opinions are for. If you do not think it is necessary, get a second opinion, and tell both doctors (dentists). Tell the second one, that you are there for a second opinion only, and want to kjnow what his (hers) opinion is. Do not tell him what the other doctor said, let him come to his own conclucion. Of course this will cost you.

Now if this was an article about the anti-trust trial, that may not be news, unless there was new information about it. Thats what makes it news, the new info - a new company taking MS to court.

But since this didn't affect you, you must have assumed it did not affect anyone. I know it does not affect me directly, but I am still aware of it effects before opening my mouth.
I know there is a VCD format, but often Video Cd's are refered to as a CD with some video on it (sounds obvious, doesn't it). Well the format of the video could be one of many different formats. While there are players out there to play it, some are not free. If they are free often they have restrictions on redistibuting the software.
Companties that try to have a consistent computing platform, this causes all kinds of trouble. I recently ran into the problem with Real PLayer and Quicktime.
Putting a copyof the player does not solve the problem either. We do not allow users to install software themselves. it is restriced to keep a standard. I know this sounds overboard, but it keeps our critical apps running, makes support a hell of a lot easier, and keeps our network more secure.

There are times that corporations deserve to be sued. This shouldn't be an excuse for everyone to claim they didn't know.
Basically, if people, and corporations would take responsibility for thier actions, this would not be an issue. Thats a dream though.

Why are you using private email at work? This is more than liekly against company policy. Simple solution, do not use private email at work.
