However, youve also got to remeber that as a contractor, there's certain things you're not allowed to do that an governmetn work would, including saysmething like "this needs to be done". That apprently financially obligates your contracting company to get it done (as screwy as that sounds).
When someone goes spouting off as an advocate of open source, and talking baout someones mother in the same sentance, it brings down the image of the whole Open Source movement.
How about the rest of the times when they've been successful? I'm not saying that any given European strike force couldn't do as well as a US one, but simply that a covert strikes aren't used often because of the fall out afterwords.
As for a European power knowing what to do, they key advantage, besides serious training, is suprise and speed. you're supposed to get in, do you thing, and get out before anybody knows what's happened.
No, the U.S. could perfect well drop a strike force almost any place the want, tear up some people, and get out with thier obective complete. This is not really up for debate.
The reason they don't, as the poster you replied to but apparently didn't actually read said, is that actions have repercussions. The gain of watever objective it would be that involes invading a foreign country, is usually infintesimally small compared to the political and possibly military responses to such an act. So it isn't done. But that certainly deson't mean it couldn't be.
I'm not sure I'd concede being evil or having a warped outlook on life as being insane. Just because what you believe is wrong, doesn't mean you have some sort of damage.
The economy, and our field of work are not at all the same thing. There was apparently a glut of tech jobs before, now there's a lot less. Does that means the economy is down? No, it means there's less of a demand for techs.
Loss of jobs != loss fo tech jobs.
Yup, and since Comedy Central aired it, we should have nothing to worry about when it comes to what else they'll air.
Hell, they aired the Christopher Reeves South Park episode.
Mac OS X Server goes from between $499 to $999, depending on the number of Appletalk users you want concurrently.
Also note that thats included int he price of an Xserve, while other companies don't include MS's OS, and with good reason. No way of knowing which version you'd plan on running.
Sure you can, but you need to clear it with your boss/board of directors first. If you signed an IP clause in place, then you can work with them to get an exclusion.
Its better to get your ducks in a row before you do something that coule get you in legal trouble.
You've got to be kidding. No matter how well you raise your kids, they'll always do something your disapprove of either from the "testing the boundries" side, or the "being a dumb kid" side.
What is this, unsubstantiated rumor day on apple.slashdot? Sorry to hear about your iPod problems, but its hardly verified when the thread you link to is one you created and posted most of the comments on. The gus next to me at work has a 5GB thats works fine on with the Windows version of iTunes, and I haven't heard anything else like this from other friends or other discussion groups. Odds are you're specifically got borked.
Call tech support again. I've always found them quite helpful (at least the AppleCare ones) when i've had hardware issues. Or take it to an Apple Store, heard good things about them ebing willing to bend over backwards to help out.
Says who? I never signed any sort of liabilty agreement when I got a computer, and I certainly never had any sort of test. I'm not aware of a single law that says I need to update my computer. In the same way that if Ford issues a recall and I don't send my car in, I'm still in the clear.

Just because you disagree doesn't make it a troll, troll.

Mybe not. There's a reason that firms have PR wings, and don't have every single person int her office do interviews about the comany.

Its been officially declared by NetCraft, cliches are dying....
Unfortunately its illegal to do this at any government building, which is quite a big chunk of the offices around where I am.

The artist that sang that was Canadian.
Or Hitlers/Timothy McVeighs?
Funny, I'd think its the other way around. If it hasn't been made, its valueless to me.
There's an infinite amount of unmade. Hell, I've got a bridge full of it, if you'd care to purchase it.
The unmade is just about the same thing as vapor.
Depends. Was his car inside my house?

Bah, your right. This is what I get for being too busy to upgrade my copy of Final cut to see how it screams on my 1.8 (single, curse them).
You missunderstand. Apple calls their line of Professional level apps "Pro Tools." And you're right, Digital Performer tears ProTools up.

Try again. Panther retail is $129.99. The low end retail panther server version is $499.

right. single user mode would be what you do to fix your corrupted Netinfo databse, not to add a use.
Single user mode, my good man.
