What, you mean Tiger Woods doesn't drive a Buick? None of what you say is a surprise.
But I feel like what is going on here is much bigger than astroturfing. It is intentionally lying to (lazy and gullible) media outlets to create a false narrative. Media should know better than to fall for this stuff, but that doesn't make it ok to do it.
Convince your representative to change a law that was bought paid for by corporations? What kind of fantasy land do you live in?
Notice how all of these laws we talk about jury nullification for are to benefit corporations and not to help citizens rights? Do you think maybe there is a connection here?
Everything else in that statement was bullshit clickbait fud as well.
Who cares what the satellite's mass is? "faster than the speed of sound" no fucking kidding. "miles above the surface of the earth", just a bit of an understatement.
Are they trying to suggest that someone hacking a satellite can cause it to crash into someone's house?
Of course, its Quartz, so they are just trolling on social status, gender, race, and wealth memes. The very next article trolls on about how whites are racist because a higher percentage of them own homes than blacks.
It's almost like vacation and other benefits are part of the salary negotiation. Once your basic needs are covered you can divert more of your compensation in to these instead of base pay.
I am a bit concerned that someone is just figuring this out now.
The problem is that Volkswagen (and, really, all corporations) have been proven to be untrustworthy. If you give them a blank check on the liability, they will abuse it. They will be intentionally lax because they know they won't have deal with the consequences.
See the lawsuit over the pollution testing cheating. That was a conscious decision to cheat.
I was going to comment exactly this. "Those pushing for such a legal change..." Let me guess, the manufactueres of said robots? As a way to remove liability for a malfunctioning AI.
I don't understand why they left him off the hook so easily on this point. They could never collect consent from someone that didn't sign up for FB, so how is data collection could be legal?
Well, presumably, the batteries don't charge themselves. So the thing powering the battery is powering your house. The battery is just storage so you get favorable rates.
More like, "perhaps having your legacy industry blown to kingdom-come and having to rebuild it from scratch gives you a leg up...."
Then why is Detroit still Detroit? I guess they skipped the rebuild part.

Shut up
You make a compelling argument, there.

Tariff by company?
It would be trivially easy to circumvent this. It's not like American regulators can inspect foreign companies.
A country with appalling child labor practices, and this is what you have a problem with? Get some god damn priorities, people.

We need a block chain version of the appy apps guy. That is all I got from this summary.
Really it's the people that assign the parameters of the bot, not the bot itself.
How do you get the food first when you never leave your parents basement?

I was under the impression that if a single user watches a video twice that it only counts as one "view".
So you pay $300 a month for every single streaming service and pay extra for movies that are just not available?
The MPAA exists to extract cash from people. They don't care about providing a service.
You may be overestimating how many people live in the US or how many of them are millennials.

So you are not considered a person in Europe?

"Shoot the hostage."
It worked for Kianu Reeves.
Coal powered spacecraft.
Ahh yes, the old social justice, "you have to agree with me or I will commit violence against you" argument. Well played.
I don't understand why they left him off the hook so easily on this point. They could never collect consent from someone that didn't sign up for FB, so how is data collection could be legal?
Oh yeah, the bribes.
Hell, whole towns could do this. Why bother setting up energy distribution if you can just make people drive it in.
Why not expand this to water? Make people haul it in with no support from the government. Works for Flint, right?
