Zahn wrote some good stories (which is quite an accomplishment considering most of the dreck that gets published with Star Wars on the cover..."The Courtship of Princess Leia" made me want to hurl), but I wouldn't like to see them passed off as the end of the story arc.
I'd like to see something 15-30 years after the end of Jedi. Teething problems in the Republic, etc.
From an epic storytelling standpoint, Lucas has a point: There aren't really hooks in Jedi to attach story arcs to. The first two trilogies are neatly integrated (The Fall and Redemption of Anakin Skywalker), but there's no similar story arc to continue.
Flight control software is held to a slightly higher standard than Windows.
Are there problems? Sure, occasionally. There are always problems in systems that allow people to do complicated things. I can list half a dozen aircraft off the top of my head that wouldn't be able to keep the pointy end into the wind if it weren't for flight control computers, and by and large they work just fine.
This technology is an extension of that technology, not of your PC.
The articulating nozzle is a really big moving feature, but it is just the nozzle, not the engine. There's also a lift fan mounted behind the cockpit, which is driven by a shaft off the engine.
So you're using rhetorical and linguistic tricks to influence your audience on the evils of brainwashing. Wow. Thank you so much for washing my brain. Where do I send my check?
I loathe political parties, and I think they're the reason democracy in America is turning into plutocracy.
The reason Florida is important is because a) it has lots of electoral college votes (its voters are more equal than the rest of us) and b) it is narrowly split republican vs. democrat.
I'll leave it as an exercise for the class to do some basic reading on the Electoral College. Essentially, it's a proxy that changes the set of states that are important from the populous ones to the ones that, by accident of geography and demographics, have lots of people and close races.
Authorized intruders are to be bathed, oiled, and brought to my chamber.
Super battle droids that DON'T SHOOT THE INTRUDER.
I mean, wtf?
Standing Order No. 0 for my Minions of Terror: "Unauthorized intruders will be shot. From long range."
You mean that two different people of the same ethnicity can have different tastes?
What a shocking revelation. I need to, like, write this down or something.
Lotsa people in Hawaii. Seriously.

The rudder and the front wheel are not connected on larger aircraft. Usually there's a little wheel or lever, rather than the rudder pedals.
John Woo couldn't do it, because there are NO FUCKING PIGEONS IN SPACE.
I hate John Woo's movies so very, very much.

Nope. You're exactly right.

The F/A-18F also has a RIO.
If you look at America's pollution versus GDP, we don't look nearly so piggish.
Yes, America is one of the biggest polluters. America is also one of the biggest producers.
But, of course, that doesn't make for a nice self-loathing sound bite, so it's never going to matter, will it?
That is, he was the Neighbor of the Beast until the Beast moved.
Me, I think calling software piracy "piracy" is silly. Piracy is a violent crime. Copyright infringement is like reading magazines at a 7-11.
Dude, I'd rather play on my Saturn than on this POS.
"You can't make a lot of money by being completely and absolutely honest."
Then you shouldn't make a lot of money. The end does not justify the means.
I've worked on a number of laptops that don't work unless there's a battery installed. All of them were Windows laptops. What was your point again?
So you're using rhetorical and linguistic tricks to influence your audience on the evils of brainwashing. Wow. Thank you so much for washing my brain. Where do I send my check?
Well, there's nothing on the Kool Aid label that says it doesn't contain Drano...does that mean it's OK to put Drano in the Kool Aid?
What illogical leaps have I made? I'm asking a simple question.

It's not a conspiracy theory, it's the Electoral College.
Did you pay any attention to the last two elections? What more proof did you need?
"But why do you say this? Because you too have been brainwashed by your government."
Hold on a second. Anybody who disagrees with you must have been brainwashed? I think you're going to have to substantiate that claim a little better.
So the only way to be a champion of the proletariat is to be, first, a member of the proletariat? I don't think that's very logical...
Whoops! Moderate me -1 (Bad Reading Comprehension).
I still think the PC is an excellent example of a powerful, flexible, multifunction machine. Why exclude it from the discussion?
I kinda liked "wingle". I'm going to try to use that in conversation today.
