People sell "linker" kits, with memory cartridges that will hold 128Mb - 1Gb (notice the little b.) For me, my 256Mb card holds about 4 games at the moment...
Of course, it cost me around $100, but it's definitely the way to go if you want to have more than one cart with you, or if you program for the device.
Also, back in their time, these devices ran on double a's and triple a's and couldn't be recharged easily.
I used rechargable batteries in my Gameboy since the day I purchased one. Sure, they weren't cheap, and were only Ni-Cd, but there were rechargeable batteries. Even in my "hick-town", they had eveready (yellow) rechargeables, and you could go to the mall's Radio Shack and pick up the purple ones.
And I apologize.... it's Friday, and I'm about half an hour away from getting out of this place. Sometimes Slashdot grates me - maybe I should get a job where I can't view Slashdot:)
No, bullets are made so that you can put them in a gun and shoot stuff. Incidentally, if it happens to hit a person, IT DOES DAMAGE. Probably doesn't kill all the time though.
I'd be impressed to see the ratio of bullets bought in the US to total people murdered. I'll bet the paper targets at the gun range are pissed for having holes in them, though....
1. Vacuum power assist brakes. 2. Electronically assisted brakes (cylinder builds up pressure from a pump to assist) 3. Power Steering assist brakes (power steering pump provides the power to the cylinder to build up pressure before braking)
The electronic design is neat in that it will only go out if you totally lose power to the car.... the battery will keep the brakes working for a while after the engine goes out....
There's only one thing that will make you stop driving a car you truly love.
Mechanical damage.
Either by the car just falling apart, or someone smashing the hell out of it with their car. Then you will need to find a new car (especially with anything >10 years old..... Insurance companies love to "total" what they see as worthless cars.)
But those handful of IPTables rules won't keep someone on the inside from making your machine useless.
Of course, from a home user perspective, I used to not even keep AV software on my local machine. Always could have another machine scan it in case of an issue, and a clean wipe would follow if something was found.
Nowadays, I keep AVG on my machine, because I'm hooked up to two other houses via a VPN. It's not that I don't trust the other guys, however I don't have any clue as to what they could be plugging in (or their roomates etc)....
Personal firewalls do seem a bit overkill for me, however. Again, that might be because I can get my machine back into a "gaming state" within 2 hours..... it's a loss of time, but I've never had to do it because of outside forces.
The unfortunate thing about that is I'm required at work to use Win2k. I have no clue how to restrict sound device access under 2k, so that may be my problem....
Isn't it "Bite my shiny metal ass"?
I just realized your post is moronic.
You talk about kids running around, complaining in online games, then spout off about someone being a liar? Pot, meet kettle.
Bzzt. Minidiscs are optical drives. The magnetism is used to assist the state change when recording onto the disc.

ummm.
:)
I am the company's sysadmin
Understandable.

After all, any older and you normally have a life
Lemme guess. You're the guy on theonion.com that threw his tv set out too, because it's a waste of life?
I'm sick of people bitchin' because they don't feel a certain activity is "life".
p.s. I'm older (30s) and game as well. I, like everyone else you'll ever meet, have a "life".
Any newer cd-burning software should do this just fine for you.
Insert disc, select tracks, eject disk, insert next disc, select tracks, etc.
When you go to burn, it will ask for the discs in order, then tell you to insert a burnable one when done....
I'm pretty sure this is how Nero works anyways...
excreta)
Whoa, boy... Slow down there!
For the last time, if you don't like something, that doesn't automatically mean you can sway others to instantly not like it because of your logic.
Just say "It sucks" and move on. Better yet, don't post anything at all -- because most don't care.
But of course, then I wouldn't get to vent to people like yourself.
Well, watching TV everywhere is like being high on pot
Actually, reading slashdot comments for me is like being high as a kite. I should probably get back to work now....
As drunk driving laws "get tougher", I wouldn't recommend it for short distance driving, either...
I live in central Ohio and I'm seeing more and more of those yellow/red plates...
That's too bad you don't find the humor in it.
But lots of others will, I assure you. While you're at it, is there anything else you don't like?
Bullets are actually made to kill

Power brakes are vacuum assisted.
Not all are. I've seen cars with:
1. Vacuum power assist brakes.
2. Electronically assisted brakes (cylinder builds up pressure from a pump to assist)
3. Power Steering assist brakes (power steering pump provides the power to the cylinder to build up pressure before braking)

That's the whole point. I wouldn't let you in easily; you'd have to defeat one speeding bullet first.

Did you even read any of the article attached to this?
It's to help Dilbert "grab a girl" as well, so the other rooms might have functionality one day....
Oh who am I kidding, you're right....
Actually, that'd be a good feature request for mozilla.
Options-no sound from webpages... that would rock.
We might as well have the ability to protect things that are really important, like priceless art.
I don't know about you, but I'd be more worried about saving my ass than I would a few paintings.
However, would the proper precautions be in place, we could save the paintings, and save ourselves in the same place!!!
After checking the link, saw this:
.... Smokestack Sam
# Magic 7, The (2005) (TV) (in production) (voice)
Risen from the grave, indeed.... In production, no less.
that should have read, not useable without and external display..
??? What?
You just posted a correction to your own post which needed no correction.... or am I just crazy?
