If you understand how adwords works you know that isn't true. No one knows how much to bid, so all google has to do is bid $1m per to get top ranking. Then the competitors get to bid top dollars to play 2nd fiddle to thier top ranking.

Reguardless of all that, they are being hypocrites by obviously exploiting thier placement as the top advertising/search network to get preferential treatment within the adwords system. Others like to complain about MS including IE in windows, or making Live.com the default search engine in IE7. Well this is no differnt.

Do no evil, please. Thats not a company slogan, it's a marketing campain. The real google, sneaks past the PR every now and then and it's as ugly as everyone else.

I think google's "Do no evil" marketing campain has sold too many of you into thinking they are benevolet. Google is as bad as any other company, microsoft included.

I too am not a big fan of the touch screen. For some games it's fine(Brain Age,Monkey Ball), but more times then not it feels forced. Like Nintendo throws a kick back to developers who use the touch screen for something. The marvel fighting game, Rise of the Imperfects(?) was like that, so was Vengful Joe.

IMO, game developers should avoid making games that require BOTH touch pad and joystick controls. It's too much work switching back and forth from stylus to thumbs and reminds me complexity of today console games with 20+ buttons on the controller. I want simple controls (yes I'm old) because I'm all thumbs.

This is the reason Mario Kart is my favorite DS game so far. Makes good use of the dual screen, does not require the stylus.

  17. Fun but in spurts on Star Fox Command Review · · Score: 1

I found the story and the 'tactical' elements annoying. The acctual combat, while very fun, always felt too short. 30-60 seconds of fun combat, 2 minutes of story and psuedo-tactical actions.

The tactical part felt alittle lame too because there weren't really any options for me to explore. I either did it exactly the way they expected me to, or I lost the mission.
That makes the tactical part more tedious. I would have prefered that part of the game to be more open ended with more then 1 solution to the problem.

In summary, the combat gameplay is excellent, the rest is crud.

I'm sorry but I own a DS and a PSP and adding a touch screen is not the holy grail of portable devices. Honestly it's been a bane for me on the DS. Everything wants to use the touch screen reguardless of the sensibility of it. Because it's "differnt". Differnt isn't always good.

The touch screen is nice and for certain games it's a perfect input device. But when you start applying it to games like star fox for flight control, it's a joke.

PSPs are doing poorly because the game selection is poor. There are only a couple of titles out there worth buying. This is what made me put my PSP down 2 months ago and not pick it up again, lack of titles worth buying.

The DS has some killer titles (Mario Kart, Brain Age, New Super Mario) plus maintains compatibility with the 500 or so great GBA titles out there. This is why the DS thrives when the PSP does not.
