I just ordered an AMD 64 today and will get in 2 days and I only use Slack. I really didnt want to build the distro myself but I was willing to try if I had to...
And this is the logic which most Windoze software manufacturers use to throw at us Linux users. IT is why us Linux users are missing some great software out there.
So, tell me... In our minority, why on earth would we take that attitude?
People ask why software version updates are slashdot news.
I am wondering why this is news?!? M$ does this crap all the time from little deals that arent heard about to crap like this. So why is it on slashdot?
Their LACK of Linux support is what just made me go out and buy a GeForce FX this weekend...
I loved ATI in the past and stopped at their lack of ATI All-in-Blunder cards whe I couldnt get ANY ATI derived support for the tv tuner except for reversed-engineered stuff..
screw ATI until they fully, and I mean FULLY support their cards under my system, Linux. I dont recommend it to my windoze friends. friends dont let friends do ATI. Sorry... Change yer attitude, and i will change mine.
Im kinda shocked that it isnt anywhere on the NYT front page yet it is even on the BBC
He crashed a few windows systems? What's the big deal?
More importantly, was it windows only. Is or was my Linux network at risk?
Have a nice day
I have tried RH, Suse, Debian and Gentoo. I keep coming back to Slack...
So much simpler
PERFECT FRIGGIN TIMING!

BLESS YOU FRED!
I sincerely hope they are treating this as if they lost 3.9 million dollars!
Thank god there is no "works" package for Linux.
Remember IBM Works for OS/2 or MS Works for windoze?
I'm lost. I thought Aqua was the UI. X isnt a UI, is it? Or did KDE/Gnome/(insert UI here) get bundled in that comparison somewhere.
Which leaves me wondering, is Aqua considered the whole GUI interface combined for comparison sake or is there a layer like X underneath Aqua.
Forgive me if I am asking stupid questions - I really dont know.
TIA

What does LaserDisc have?
I use KDE on Linux and Solaris and I NEVER heard of this tool. Pretty cool front end. But it still relies on these programs in question....

I have the original THX edition (non-special edition) laserdisc boxed set too....
I wonder WHICH will be on the DVDs? I do kinda like watching the original versions too.
Are you saying windoze 3.11 worked too?!?
it was more widespread than unix. More functional? More stable?
Cmon M$ can market this steaming pile of $#!T that came out of my ass and say it is better than anything that has ever been released before....
You are using it.. case in point!
Why do ppl keep saying he didnt say that.
