    I just ordered an AMD 64 today and will get in 2 days and I only use Slack. I really didnt want to build the distro myself but I was willing to try if I had to...

    I'm lost. I thought Aqua was the UI. X isnt a UI, is it? Or did KDE/Gnome/(insert UI here) get bundled in that comparison somewhere.

    Which leaves me wondering, is Aqua considered the whole GUI interface combined for comparison sake or is there a layer like X underneath Aqua.

    Forgive me if I am asking stupid questions - I really dont know.

    And this is the logic which most Windoze software manufacturers use to throw at us Linux users. IT is why us Linux users are missing some great software out there.

    So, tell me... In our minority, why on earth would we take that attitude?

    I use KDE on Linux and Solaris and I NEVER heard of this tool. Pretty cool front end. But it still relies on these programs in question....

    Their LACK of Linux support is what just made me go out and buy a GeForce FX this weekend...

    I loved ATI in the past and stopped at their lack of ATI All-in-Blunder cards whe I couldnt get ANY ATI derived support for the tv tuner except for reversed-engineered stuff..

    screw ATI until they fully, and I mean FULLY support their cards under my system, Linux. I dont recommend it to my windoze friends. friends dont let friends do ATI. Sorry... Change yer attitude, and i will change mine.

    I have the original THX edition (non-special edition) laserdisc boxed set too....

    I wonder WHICH will be on the DVDs? I do kinda like watching the original versions too.
