    Woah! If a person was able to sneak a laptop in there, or a script kiddie gained access to a available terminal, him/her could bring down the entire dispatch. The uptime suggests no security updates has been installed. It would be a simple task to remotely close the server without proper authorization!

    Very scary indeed.

    I know you're trying to be funny, but the first thoughts that come to my mind when I saw this were:

    1. This means at some point we'll be able to control electronics with our brain.
    2. This means at some point electronics will be able to control us.

    I have tried a Vista beta, and after 4 hours of trying out various search features I installed Google Desktop and found Vista to be just as good as my old XP.

    Wich btw runs just fine under Vmware on my Ubuntu distro.

    Neurons do not act like transistor gates. (AND/OR/NAND etc.)
    Neurons has multiple states. Active / Semi active / Sleep. Operating many connection lines in between other neurons.

    The task whould be to simulate single neurons (with code) and make theese simulated neurons interact on a weighted level. You whould need at least a billion of those sim-neurons just to be equal to a insects brain. Every sim neuron should be pre-coded with a specialized task, but allso be able to take another sim-neurons task is it should be necesary.
