    I drive a 2014 pure EV, and I make a modest/decent wage. I live in the Chicago, and I charge from my apartment. It really is pretty easy, and I don't have to deal with gas and combustion engines.

    I drive a all electric Nissan Leaf, and I don't even have a garage. I have outlets on the outside of my house, and the Leaf charging cable is prob at least 15 ft long.

    I charge at night with no garage.

    I want to plan all of my driving to remain at least a quarter mile away from those things.

    And quite different from my opinion :)

    I drove a sport A4 with a "engine," "transmission," and all that fun stuff.

    Now I drive a Nissan Leaf, and find the low speed torque, and the ability to concentrate on just speed and driving to be way more fun that a loud, dangerous, and inelegant ICE.

    Also, ICE produce lots of deadly fumes. I can sit in my "idling" Leaf. You can't sit in your idling ICE/death box. :)

    We have a Right to functioning guns and "wish[es] to avoid is for something bad" are irrelevant. I always want my semis to work. Always. What someone else wishes is up to them.

    Ha. That really rocks.

    I'm saving up for a cheaper Tesla model (or used Model S) in 2017. If my Audi makes it that long. The automatic transmission sometimes forgets which gear it's in, and can't shift anymore. As Teslas are single gear-direct drive, they don't have that problem.

    The battery is actually double platted with metal that is quite protective.

    There is no car with a better safety score than the Model S. The Model X could be far superior with minor modes compared to any Caddy.
