hmmm... well I'm also 26, and I've gone back and tried to play Marathon, that was so amazing in late '94/early '95, and I couldn't even play it for very long. Games are *much* better now.

I think the key is not try to multitask. During the internet boom people who could multitask well were considered amazing. I've tried to keep a bunch of things in my head at once (keeping up on /., etc), but it doesn't work - I get nothing done.

I'm going to have to pick one and only one thing to work on at a time and focus on that. Once I finish that, I'll make the decision of what to work on next.

    That's the play, anyway.

You have a valid point on some of your criticisms of Republicans, but on others, Democrats are actually the stronger offenders.

Democrats are more likely to legislate wiretapping the internet and required censorware. I know John Ashcroft doesn't reinforce that statement, but the real power is in the US Supreme Court. And Republican nominations to the Supreme Court uphold freedom more strongly than Democrat judges (eg Scalia and Thomas).

Nope. You read me wrong. I'm not really anti-MS... I think the gov. should basically leave them alone. But that's because they don't really stand a chance against free software. Sure MS will evolve, but they can't beat the economy of free software.... especially as free software gets closer and closer to the feature set MS has.

    It is obvious.

But I don't want linux to be the only choice. I think FreeBSD will always be around. And hopefully GNOME will always give KDE a run for it. But commodity-proprietary software like Windows is just plain doomed.
