    Sorry, that is Foghorn Leghorn.

That was a joke, son. Don't ya get it?

That's true. I'm not sure people recognize the gravity of this theft.
What, would a pun about some Apple PDA thingie have been better? :)

You had to set this thread topic in motion, didn't you?

I agree. Next you'll see the headline 'Science: Earth round?' along with the "it's funny" foot icon.

  5. Re:news for nerds? on My Compost Bin And I · · Score: 2

Yeah, this article topic (compost) is pretty boring. Maybe someone thought it involved cloning, or our rights online.

  8. Re:Resolution on "Red is Dead" Optical Mice LED Change · · Score: 1

Let's see... 700nm would have to equal one pixel movement, right?

Not necessarily. The mouse resolution unit is called the "mickey". At least, that's how I learned it.

  9. Re:logitech is blue... on "Red is Dead" Optical Mice LED Change · · Score: 1

The plastic filter more or less only passes red light through. The normally bright blue light from a blue LED looks rather dim through the red plastic.

  10. Re:Movie crap on Operating Systems Are Irrelevant · · Score: 3, Funny

In the context of the document 3D means that documents exist not in a visible z plane, but in a 3rd TIME dimension. You're not going to need stereoscopic glasses to read your files. Just to be able to concieve that a filesystem can have a TIME dimension to it

So I can just seek ahead in time until I find my finished report? This guy's on to something.

TEN MINUTES of not responding oh a relatively new machine (2ghz P4, 1/2GB RAM) is NOT, by ANY means acceptable.

Well, damn, your computer is so fast it can finish an infinite loop in ten minutes.

As far as I know, the mp3s here are free. But many recordings are indeed copyrighted.

    Why aren't these dishes done?
    Is that perfume I smell?
Do these pants make me look fat?

Classy. I wonder if the computer animators got crafty and snuck in teapots? I think my eyes will hurt by the end of the movie if I try to find out...

That would be pretty damn cool, actually. Apparently a teapotahedron made an appearance in Toy Story.

Silly humans, still debating simple things like evolution, astrophysics, and whether Star Trek or Star Wars is better(non-geeks: read that as "penis size"); and yet you still wonder why alien civilizations haven't contacted you yet.

We're still grappling with the galactic pickle matrix.
