    That leaves you only .34 cm cushion, or .17 cm cushion per side. That's a very tight fit, and doesn't leave much room for vibration cushions. So assuming they overcome that, they then just have to deal with the fact that everywhere in creation that sells or packages media is set up for cd/dvd sized media, and now they'll be left fighting against that. In all seriousness, they should have cut back to 280GB and gone with standard format size. When a small company is trying to launch a new storage product, doing battle in the realm of physical format is stupid, particularly if your strategy is 'bigger' rather than 'smaller'.

    You have to keep in mind, they'll be using advanced data compression. They probably only need in the range of 32 bytes or so of payload for their machine learning code.

    Considering the number of scientists who have been looking at this over a number of years, I think it really is a credit to Goto's work. Optimizing at this level is very challenging work on modern processors.

    Their software only has to succeed on one machine. From there, its learning power allows it to read internet manuals and discover how to infect more modern machines.

    It won't be supported, any more than aol keywords are supported (in fact, far less than AOL keywords are supported). Basically, these people are ripping off stupid businessmen who missed out on the .com domain goldrush and are afraid to miss out again.

    Presumably, they'd make org/com/info etc reserved names that you can't register. They'd then be forced to revoke any dotless TLD that became a real TLD later. Presumably that risk will be covered by their contract.

    There's a whole range, but the basic options are manual lever, motion sensor, and timed. Motion sensor are by far the most common in public accomodations in the US. Up to maybe 10 years ago, it was all levers, then the motion sensors took over. Timed are comparatively rare, but you do see them. Another common category is 'broken and flushing constantly'.

    So your post violated the 'early enough' rule, and hasn't gotten any moderation (and likely won't). Mine however was just in time to receive 3 informative moderations that I had forbidden the mods to give me.

    You have to factor in that if they don't deliver you any ice, the soda isn't cold enough. So they get some ice-making overhead essentially for free, and only need to produce enough additional ice to defray your soda expense.

    Besides which, eat at a restaurant with unlimited refills, and you'll have none of these worries.

    Yes, using lemon juice as an acid and sea water for your salt, this is actually fairly straightforward. Not that you'll get anything like the power indicated on GI, but you can generate at least 10 watt this way, and light some small incandescent bulbs.

    Must have been an incredibly dumb rich kid. It's hard for me to imagine how else you have enough spare money to pay $5k for an xbox, but don't see the numerous other options to get one cheaper.
