0.85% packet loss. id deem that as acceptable. what, you cant deal with the fact that beacause its over a wireless network (hmm, think lossy environment) with no packet acknowledge you are going to lose packets?
get over it! it works fine. you will always get some losses when you transmit over a wireless network. Thats simply how the system works. its not designed to be a replacement for wired system, which are simply much faster, beacuse they dont have the overheads involved, and have enough bandwith to run packet ACK/NACK
drivers may help,and omni antennas (but you could've just built a loop for about 20p thats probably just as good) but you will ALWAYS get packet loss. if you cant cope with it, GET A BIT OF CABLE! - its cheaper, and faster. DUH.

The DJ has sod all to do with it. However, most DJ that work in our venue either use vinyl, or laptops. no-one uses CD much except for cheese DJs. DnB, techno, Hiphop, UK garage (yuk) DJs that i have met are all using vinyl.

i use my palm m500 all the time. im an engineer, and it doubles as my contact list, my planner (i dont know what im doing that day, but it tells me where im supposed to be)(it syncs with outlook) a graphical calculator (easycalc) and i also use it for email and to check slashdot (eudora) when i cant get to my PC. its also useful for rather dull meetings, because i can play irogue (a rouguelike for the palm.)
the other thing is you can get porn for it, in the form of palmasutra.
