Booker's is good, but a bit strong for my everyday taste. Also from the Beam family is Baker's, which I prefer to any other bourbon right now. When I can't afford that, I drink their Knob Creek. I'd switch outside the Beam family before I'd drink Basil Hayden, however. I just don't dig it.

Jacek Artymiak explicitly states (no less than three times) in his book, Building Firewalls with OpenBSD and PF, Second Edition, that you shouldn't install source code and a compiler on your pf box (firewall). To quote him from page 71, "There is just too much possible risk" in doing so. While he doesn't go into the minutiae of the consequences, one can guess that if the pf box were compromised, you are giving the attacker everything he/she needs to own your box. I recommend you read his book and refer to pages 71, 72, and 101 for his statements on this scenario.

Well, you're in for a real treat. Enjoy! There are many really cool things about Ubuntu. But even more important, you are now embarking on your first Linux installation, and I suspect that within a year or less, you'll have installations of several different Linux distros under your belt. It's contagious, I tell you, trying out different distros. Anyway, like I said... Enjoy!

Throw your one small TV out the window and order a copy of _Get A Life_ by David Burke and Jean Lotus (ISBN: 0747536899). After you read that, you'll never think twice about watching TV again. Plus, like all drug addictions, as time goes on (and you stay sober), you'll wonder why in the heck you ever used the drug in the first place.
