Duh, the financial statements on their website. Their churn went up until they got the iPhone. Even if most of their customers stay android they will make bank due to lower customer acquisition costs
everyone does it. i remember years ago AMD got slammed for doing it. they "shipped" a lot of CPU's in one quarter for some good revenue numbers and the next quarter they took a charge to take them all back.
very easy to catch too. wall street analysts hit the malls on weekends and ask the sales drones about sales or just watch foot traffic. then they plug the numbers into their models and get some estimated sales figures
almost a century ago the europeans dumped their cheap manufacturing to the USA and by the 1960's parts of the USA were environmental nightmares. we fixed it with the EPA and a few laws, but a few morons actually want to bring this back to the USA.
I live in NYC and parts of the city are still uninhabitable due to pollution years ago, the original polluters are long gone and anyone who builds will have to pay for the clean up. Jetblue paid tens of millions to clean up parts of JFK airport to build a new terminal.
at some point the chinese will wise up and stop allowing us to pollute their country
it's not GSM but UMTS/HSPA/HSUPA/HSPDA and other new modulations. UMTS was a few years ago and the modulations have changed and service is a lot better.
VZW and AT&T are trying to dump their unlimited customers to sprint. if sprint does end up taking a lot of them on we will have to see how long they can take unlimited data.
the crappiest carriers in the USA who did the race to the bottom thing by offering the cheapest prices but the worst phones until recently suddenly find themselves in trouble. Sprint is the worst with their proprietary wimax offering. not only that but they should offer unlimited data so all the data hoggers would leave VZW and AT&T and improve service for the rest of us
T-Mo has a good phone selection this year and Sprint is getting better as well but Apple killed them with the iphone
too bad HP has generally crappy software and you can't sell enterprise software like servers. people don't just dump their old product because HP is here now.
they were screwed long before the current CEO took over. making feature phones and geek phones when apple and android are taking over is not a recipe for success
it's stock he can't sell for another 10 years. it's only worth 383 million if the stock price stays where it's at. Just look at GE after jack welch left. MS after bill gates. or almost any other company after an iconic CEO or founder steps down. the stock usually tanks.
usually it's the law of large numbers. you can't grow as fast when you're a huge company
ISP's work with law enforcement all the time. i work for one. more than once have i been told to provide a lot of data as evidence in a lawsuit. the reason why legit ISP's don't get equipment seized is they keep records they give to law enforcement.
like in this case where the feds got an IP from the ISP
seizing anything that is suspected of being used for criminal activity has been perfectly legal for hundreds of years. and there is no excuse that you were running some service or other and didn't know what other people were doing. if the cops get a hunch they will seize your stuff to look for evidence and impound it if there is evidence of a crime
i remember Gloria. we put some tape on the windows and stayed home watching TV. the damage was probably in the burbs or the burb parts of NYC. believe it or not most of NYC by area is private homes where you can't see manhattan at all. the part where all the work gets done is completely hurricane proof
i've been through a few hurricanes in NYC and we have these things called windows to keep the water out. it's a rectangular hole cut into the building with multiple panes of glass with a metal frame and some sealing material around it.
in some instances if there are extremely high winds predicted we put packing tape on the windows in an X shape in order to prevent shatter
from what i've read the paper manuals are updated every two weeks with a minimum of 3 sets per aircraft. now it's only going to be 1 set. that's a lot of money saved by going to ipad
the are using a third party app from jeppesen. it works via subscription. thousands of professional apps have done this for years. you just can't subscribe from within the app or you have to pay apple 30%.
some of these high schools have a graduating class of only 100 or so. mine had about 500 or close to 1000. i guess when there is only one person for every 10 miles it's a big tax increase

Only with alltel purchase. ATT was number one until that
Sprint is reporting a loss every quarter
Verizon was losing customers before the iphone

except campaign contributions can only be used for political campaigns and people have gone to jail for using the money on themselves.

it's cheaper to just buy a new machine to use for a home server than pay for the electricity hogged up by old hardware

it's OK until she finds out and sues you for making money of her name
vmware is almost like the old mainframes, but i don't hear about them anymore. do IBM and others want to stay out of this market?

the energy can travel through rock
there was an app i had when i had an iphone that would send a push message every time an earthquake over 5 hit somewhere
