imagine the watch is a bike computer, the nike fuelband or fitbit thingy where it tracks how much you walk, your heart rate, pulse, maybe even add blood sugar
its for people who like to go outside and breath fresh air and not the basement dwellers who are always rooting or ROMing their phones
they get it, they just don't want to spend $$$$ to fix every little thing when there is no ROI
wifi calling was a product aimed at the cheapest end of the phone market. people willing to put up with trying to find a wifi spot to make a call instead of just buying more minutes. all to save $20 or so per month.
you don't make PROFIT by spending lots of money on your cheapest customers
when you are a 5 year old who has seen blizzards, hurricanes and has had a tornado pass over his home then maybe he gets curious as to why and how these things happen
i have a kid in a NYC public school. one of the best elementary schools in the city. i also talk to people who have kids in other schools or work in other schools.
the curriculum is the same. the kids are not. in my school the kindergarten kids at a minimum know the alphabet on the first day of kindergarten. most of the kids in my son's class already know how to read simple books when they come in to kindergarten. by the end of kindergarten all the kids in my son's school are expected to read Scholastic Level F books i have talked to people and there are first graders in some schools who don't know the alphabet.
if you want smart kids, make them smart. some days my five year old only watches documentaries on netflix and no cartoons.

by the time a real product with the tegra 4 will ship the next iphone will be announced or leaked to the point where we will know the tegra 4 is not that big a deal
the graphics are nice in your one game. iOS will have lots of games with similar graphics by the time the next iphone and ipad come out.
no one is suing the guy selling his one text book after class ends
this person didn't really buy the books for himself which is what the first sale doctrine is for? he had relatives buy books for the purpose of reselling them in a country where people have a lot more money
i'm surprised SCOTUS didn't find for the publisher. this is a pretty big expansion of the first sale doctrine
iphone has always needed less CPU/RAM resources than android. i have a droid pro i carry for work and my wife's old iphone 4 with only 128MB or RAM was a much better phone
my father in law has a galaxy s3 and i play with it every one or two weeks when i see him. ok phone, but my iphone 5 with only 1GB of RAM is snappier
either way the 2.4GHz iCore and Xeon's i'm using now are a lot faster than the 3.4GHz ones from a decade ago. still have a few old HP proliants with 3.4GHz Xeons.
the way android OS versions are buying something like the S2 which has ICS is perfectly safe from an application compatibility standpoint. ICS is at its peak installs now so it will be at least 2 years before good apps will require jellybean or something later

that's what you get for all these "consumer friendly" laws and taxes you pass on evil corporations
the company is supposed to pay that, not the customers
along with longer warranties mandated by law and everything else
are you one of these crazy old people who still repairs stuff?
always cheaper to buy new these days. and a lot of times you can buy a better TV or whatever for the price to repair or replace
no one cares about 3d
only people i know who bought 3d bought it only because they wanted the most expensive set and they watch regular cable TV on theirs
almost everyone i know doesn't care about 3d and won't buy one unless its the same price as a regular TV or its a feature on all sets
they were around $1500 or so last year for a set in the 50" range. at most
the cheap ones start for $1000 for a 50" set
only for the basement dwellers
i'll buy it for the health and biometric tracking features it will probably have
Apple proved the business model and android is supporting it as well now
release an app with base features for free and charge for add on features
yeah but the slashtarts seem to think that if you're employed by one company you have to hate every other company. and they will never hire you either
they get it, they just don't want to spend $$$$ to fix every little thing when there is no ROI

you can modify the hardware all you want, you can't play on x-box live with modified hardware. online service is different than hardware you own.
i don't know exactly how its done, but there are scam doctors who will write lots of scripts for it
and its pretty easy to fake a NY State driver's license or state ID card
so i miss out on google now? who cares
