Speaking of links, the descriptive texts in the first two links in this post are backwards. The reference to the "siphon data from governments and pharmaceutical companies" links to the stealthy trojan link and the "stealthy trojan..." link, links to the "siphon data..." article.
I don't know, but is there anything in the project that stipulates they have to get them there alive? This could be a adjunct the the old movie "The Loved One" for all we know. Mars is prime real estate for burial plots.
Why stop at criminal "background" ? They can use criminal "foreground"! They can recruit people CURRENTLY in prison. Additionally it solves any AWOL problem, as they can have 100% supervision, all the time (24/7)! They can also dispense with the expense of firearms training and having to pick up all that brass!
And what's with all this talk of putting people in positions of power? A cyber-private first-class is no position of power.
The first image that comes to mind is Chris Dowd in "The IT Crowd" as "Roy" who's first response to any Help Desk call was "Did you tried turning it off and on?". As the show progressed, he automated his phone to answer with a reel to reel tape recording asking the same!
OLYMPICA simulates the U.N. Mars raid to capture the Web Mind Generator from a heavily defended area near Nix Olympica's massive caldera. The Webbie revolutionaries are deep in their tunnel complexes surrounded by strong points and infantry. The raiders will use infantry, laser tanks, lifters and the tunnel blasting BOAR drill. If they fail man's future may fall to the telepathic, religion/machine Web Mind of Mars.
OLYMPICA is the clever tactical creation of Lynn Willis. His future history of the Martian revolution of 2206 hinges on the crucial U.N. raid. The game is easy to learn, fast playing, and challenging. Like the other Microgames, it is ideal for beginners and fun for pros. OLYMPICA is the perfect game for those who've never tried science fiction games.
Components for the game include a 24 page rules booklet, play counters, and hex gridded map of the Nix Olympica region."
So will a voice announce the 5 second warning with the Mission Impossible theme song?

The HP3000 Professional certification before I die.
There's only one person still alive licensed to grant this certification, and he's gettin' old. (He flew P2 Neptune's for the Navy.)
Wonder if I can get my company to foot the bill?
And Titicaca is so fun to say over and over.
Titicaca, titicaca, titicaca, titicaca, titicaca, titicaca, titicaca, ...
Hello! Welcome to WalMart!

If I may be so bold to paraphrase Bruce Schneier, nothing says "Investigate Me" like using TOR.
Versus Three Thousand Years Ago.
We all know would have happened to false prophets!
"Rock! Rock! Rock! Rock! Rock! Rock! Rock! Rock! Rock! Rock! Rock! ..."
"It's the simple things in life you treasure."
I guest that explains the spam I get for fully refurbished copper from the D.R.C. ?
As long as the Eloi keep flocking to the siren, the Morlocks are willing to provide!
Maybe it was benevolent hacking, as opposed to malicious?
(Murphy's corrollary: "Friendly fire, isn't".)
Don't be afraid folks, the order of events is supposed to be war, THEN, famine and pestilence after that.
Wait a minute, we've been at war for 13 years ...
Adds a whole new meaning to Blue Screen of Death, eh?
(Or was it a palm device like a Newton?)
We all know it returned with The Blob! (Or will it be the Andromeda Strain?)

If you look for the golfball particles, perhaps you can find the Dorf galaxies?
Has anyone contacted Norman Vincent Peale about this?
(I had to say it, there was no obligatory reference to him this entire thread.)

Obviously, they have forgotten to ask someone who doesn't give a shit.
Redjac will next strike in 2105 on the Martian Colonies.
(Did a search and could not find the obligatory Star Trek reference in this posting.)
I have two reel to reel tape drives at 6250bpi. One with an HP-IB and the other with a SCSI-SE interface.
I used to have a 5 level baudot paper tape teletype model 28, ran at 67 WPM.

Infamous reference to Metagaming's game "Olympica" (c) 1977 top back cover subtitle:

I was not aware Europe had a nuclear fleet. I thought all their ships except UK and some French submarines used other means of propulsion.
(Humor, no need to reply.)
