allowing you to consume small quantities of liquid nitrogen without flash-freezing your palate.
Er, no... This does not allow you to consume it... You can hold a bit in your mouth, but if you swallow it you will most likely die unless you can get right to a hospital very quickly, as it closes the entrance to your stomach and then proceeds to turn into nitrogen, which funnily enough takes up quite a bit more space than liquid nitrogen.
MS giving away IE didn't directly kill off netscape. it was the OS bundling that killed off netscape.
Oh, crap. Netscape killed netscape. People downloaded the 10+mb upgrades of IE, but they didn't download the upgrades of netscape, because there weren't any. Netscape was a bloated buggy browser that never got updated, threw a tantrum with any broken html in pages (a problem users must deal with, not us web geeks), and generally offered nothing to users. IE 3 was ok.... It was pretty crap. But IE4 was a massive leap forward in joe sixpack's internet experience. That's why netscape died.
God forbid uncle sam tell the US to pull their standards into line with the rest of the planet and use a well thought-out system that makes sense, instead of based on the length of some ancient greeks' gods' feet or some such.
My car gets three rods to the hogshead and that's the way I likes it!
I don't know about you guys, but I think the tribble robot would make a great children's toy, or a dumbed-down (and toughened up) version to entertain your dog:)
No, X11 is a standard. There is no X11 product. Windows, is a program. Wine implements / translates the win32 API, but it does this solely to emulate windows. xfree86 is not using X11 to run software on a platform for which it was not designed. Wine is, therein lies the difference.
Sure you had to download some drivers, and reboot a few times... Did you have to know the timing frequencies of your monitor? Did you have to edit any cryptic configuration files by hand? Did you have to do said editing in either vim or emacs (shudder)?
Even now I have to do this in linux, and I still can't make the Nvidia drivers work, or make linux talk to my USB DSL modem.
I cheaply produced vhs recordings there is a flicker, they can sync it up tho. However in film you don't see it because the tv/monitor updates much faster than 25fps.
HAH! The fact you mentioned the gimp shows you know naught of which you speak. I assure you, all graphic designers who work professionally as a designer, use trinitron screens. A few these days might use the really high end sony lcds, but they're mainly for DTP, not design, as even the top of the line mac screens are still not as good as a crt for colour matching.
Ah I love my vodaphone prepaid sim... any australian number, fixed or mobile, local or std, any network (except 900 numbers etc) is a cent a second, no flag fall, billed by the second. It's bonza.
Doesn't work with M$ keyboards tho (the only ones that don't give me RSI), since their circuitry is delicately layered on 3 pieces of plastic that have to line up perfectly and are impossible to position till the case is 99% closed.... assholes.
I believe it just swells due to the effects of the liquid nitrogen, like it's just burnt by the cold... but IANADr :)

sure it's not visual studio, but it's damned good value.

I went to high school with Amy and lived one street over.

Well looks like you'll be sued. And
JeffK si that yuo?
Bah. It may be the most populus city in the world, but the largest is Mt Isa, QLD :-)
of course there's only 10 miners, 2 sheep and 3 dogs, but that's beside the point.

Is that a joke? I love cold beer on a hot christmas morning.
You drink that sludge? I thought it was road sealant. But then I suppose you guys don't like vegemite, so...
oh, like, you know, totally!
I am (afraid (your post) looks far (too much (like lisp code)) to mine mortal eyes (and henced cannot be parsed))
Stop turning religious zealots into terrorists by funding the existance / behaviour of israel?
Porno is something I thought was cool when I was 13, but now think of as immature.
Funny... I thought porno was cool when I was 13... Now I don't think it's cool, but I still watch it, because well, i like to watch people go at it.

Yes it is. No matter what they call it, it's still an emulator. It's not a computer emulator, but it does emulate windows.

Apple monitors are either sony lcds, or sony trinitron screens, have been for about 10 years.

Reports are sketchy at present, but we're being led to believe that it's easy to compromise a machine to which you have physical access!
Film at 11.
I used to put 'em through the dishwasher.
Works like a charm.
(just remember to remove the circuitry, m'kay?)

no i meant forfty. Forfty per cent of people know that.
Of course I am a tool and got my <b> and </b> mixed up.....
