Goddammit, why can't we get together and do something about this? Why don't we geeks create some infrastructure where people can create, review, rate, and sell content at a fair price? No, geeks can't just come out and do something that will affect joe sixpack and his ??AA overlords, but why not create the infrastructure for ourselves, and use it fairly, let joe sixpack join if he wants. Every indy artist has one or two geek friends.... if you build it, they will come.
I never thought this was an actual problem, I thought it was just bullshit whinging.... We doesn't the fcc step in and enforce a standard? We have 3 standards in Australia, but they're not really competing, and you can use any one of them with any one of the providers I believe, and GSM definitely with all providers.
Theres........ never much work...... involved...... in parodying....... william..... shatner...... All you need to do is..... speak.... slowly..... and people..... will get the general idea.
No, the plant hasn't changed, simply our interpretation of the word corn... There's no such plant as corn... Basically corn is the word given to the popular corn-like (sorry) grass at the time... In "ye olden dayes" it was something totally different to the variations of maize we eat now as corn.
And the towelheads are the new jews, and the media are the new nazi propaganda machine. It's sad that after all the jewish people went through, now they're doing the exact same thing to the muslims.
Hahahaha! Nice..... a day to cross the country. 1000 miles takes 13 and a bit hours driving at 120km/h average speed, which is about as fast as you can go without getting booked in australia (outside of the Northern territory). That's assuming you've got a straight highway, with a constant speed limit of 120... not bloody likely. And as I'm rather attached to my limbs, internal organs, my licence, and my car, I would never drive more than 12 hours in one day, and I like to keep it to 10 or less. And it takes 4-5 days of reasonable driving (only 10-20 ks over the limit, 8 hours a day) to cross from sydney to perth, if you really rush it it's 3.
If you live anywhere in Australia it would be worthwhile to drive a few hours to Ceduna
It's a few days from here to south australia, not a few hours - and I'm only in south-east queensland... North queensland, the top end, and the Kimberlies would be further still.
They'll just have to start making laptops more modular, which would be great.... give us an upgrade path with video, ram, cpu, and most importantly the screen. I'd love an old laptop with a p1 in it, if they had decent screens.....
Yes, though the Aussie snake I fear most is the tiger, who is very agressive and will actually give chase, unlike almost any other snake in the World.
In followup, yes, the most venomous snake in thw world is the fierce snake, but the most deadly is the tiger snake. the snake responsible for the most deaths is the cobra, due to the fact it lives in india with a shitload of people;-)
And yes, the stone fish is the world's most venomous. I believe the daddy longlegs tale is an urban myth. The deadly (female sydney) funnelweb is a fairly small spider though, and I'm pretty sure it's not very closely related to the tarantula, the bird-eating spider definitely and to a lesser degree the huntsman would be much closer relatives i think.
VB is grouse (hell, my email is vbisgrouse@hotmail.com), but I live about 2km from castelmaine, so XXXX all the way!) Plus XXXX have by far the best ads for any beer.
I read somewhere that.au has the top eight most venomous animals in the World. Though I think this could be a bit of an exageration (ranking wise).
I doubt it...
The world's most venomous snake is the taipan (fierce snake), found in central australia
The world's most venomous spider is the female sydney funnelweb found around the south east cost and blue mountains.
The world's most venonmous fish is the stone-fish, found in waters around australia.
The world's most venomous jellyfish is the box jellyfish, found in tropical australian waters.
The world's most venomous octopus is the blue ringed octopus, found all over the coast.
The world's most venomous shell-creature-type-thing (this one i'm not 100% sure about) is the conch shell, found in australian waters, especially around the reef.
The world's most venomous brewed drink, fosters, is reputably found in pubs everywhere, although I've never seen any bastard drink it.
Then killing yourself when you try to perform said kung fu with your* overweight uncoordinated geek body?
* (making assumptions for the sake of humour here don't get offended)
You've got an atari that can jizz on passing fat chicks? That I've gotta see!

Old game with shitty "interactive movie" gameplay becomes new 3d game with shitty gameplay. Film at 11.
I believe you're referring to the mythical dostuff() function :)
BZZT! It's forfty. That's the whole point of the joke.
Yet more truth to the fact that "if it ain't broken, don't fix it, and if it is, hit it with a hammer".
