We slept together for a month, and when I ended it she came over to thank me for the way I always had been honest with her. Then she moved on to a serious relationship with someone else and so did I.
So, having sex just for the physical pleasure with someone who knows very well that there is no emotional commitment and never will be has two effects: It satisfies part of your needs and at the same time points out that sex was not all you were really looking for, intimacy was. It clears the frustrations and puts a focus on what you really want.

Since this study was done in the Netherlands, where 90% of all cars are stick-shifts, the effect might be smaller than you think.

It mostly depends on how willing they are to hand over information. in the end, they will have to, but they may put up soem resistance.
I use XS4ALL in the netherlands. They tend to go to court rather than give up user privacy. Only if they lose, they will give it out.
