    You'll always need binaries. You'll need your base toolchain as binary in order to compile anything (including a new toolchain).

    No, you are the one that seems confused.

    Remember, you don't really vote for the president, you are indicating your preference to your states electoral college members (Electors).

    A vote for Nader is a non-preference for Kerry and a non-preference for Bush. But the electoral votes will only be used for Kerry *OR* Bush. So, if you want to get Bush (or more importantly his administration) out of office, you have to vote for Kerry because that is the only possible way that your preference can have any effect. A vote for Nader is wasted because it can never have any effect on the Electors from your state. If you don't understand that, you should not vote yourself.

    The bush-league administration implying that the terrorists want Kerry to win is just more FUD. No, they (Bin Laden) want bush to be re-elected so the bush-league administration continues to screw things up. Of course, that assumes that 9-11 was not orchestrated by TPTB in the first place. It's absolutely no coincidence that the bush-league administration is spreading FUD just like the convicted monopoly.

    NY has most of the oldest copper pairs in the world. The cost is very high, the telcos would rather lay the latest high tech stuff in new developments. Unfortunately, that contributes to urban sprawl, and it's associated problems. Blame the tax laws.

    No need to stop the ad. The bugs in FireFox (and Mozilla) will likely be fixed before the ad appears anyway.

    Now, the bugs in IE (therefore also in windows) will not likely be fixed until mid-November, and will likely introduce new bugs or re-introduce old ones.

    Spot on! It really is a very well written article, and cleanly describes the situation.

    My Spidey Sense says that many non-hacker readers had a bad reaction when they read the article. But non-hacker readers should really read it and understand it.

    It really does sum up the problem facing the U.S. in these next 14 days plus whatever happens. "We" (hackers) can see the mess being created by the current regime and the corps. The majority of the voting population does not see any problem.

    No. He can't resign from office, because that doesn't really solve the problem. Cheney would take over. President Bush must lose the election so that the entire administration is out.

    BTW, your GF is correct.

    The administration is so corrupt that even if President Bush were to tell the voters to vote for Kerry, Diebold would probably still fix the vote so that Bush was the apparent winner.
