Yawn, if you want to create a closed source game, I'm SURE Id software would license you a copy just for that. Ungrateful bastard.

Well, why don't you try the source provided for you by your distro, it should have all the distro changes, in it. Then see if you can get the patch to work. If you can't, find a linux guru who can do it for you, and publish the patch, many people will love you:)
Sorry, what I meant to say, was that the program that layed out the mines sets it up so that you never get stuck in a situation where you have to guess. I believe the top left corner is always a free area, and any guess are removed. I've gotten good enough at minesweeper personally that in expert mode, excluding the attept to get an open area at the beginning, I only have to guess maby 3 or 4 times in a game when there is simply no way around it.

Umm www.worldwinner.com it lets you enter tournment of many different types of online games. everyone pays like 2 bucks and the top winner(s) get the money paid minus like 1%. And they set up the games so there is absolutly no luck involved (the mindsweeper game never has any thing that you HAVE to guess at) so in most states its not considered gambling, simply a skill game. But Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Tennessee and Vermont, stil consider it illigal. Their faq states that United States, Anguilla, Antigua, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Belize, Brazil, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Curacao, Denmark, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Grenada, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.
citizens are allowed (except for ones in those US states:( )
I played a few free practice games on their site, and I kicked butt. But oh well
Solitaire? No I've spent many a man hour on minesweeper, I swear if that site that lets you play minesweeper for money online would allow florida based credit cards, I'd be rackig in the dough:)
No you don't understand, AT&T isn't going bankrupt! AT&T stockholders are still keeping their shares, but as comcast is paying AT&T money, that money gets filtered out to the stockholders, so basically each stockholder gets effectivly a dividend of.34 cents. Or are you refering to the fact that stocks shouldn't cost more than 20 times their earnings? HAHAHHA and you think stock price has anything to do with the real world?

Well if I get emails from a company that I said they can send me email, that my own fault. Maybe spam, but I can't get mad at them. But my main email is on MANY marketing list, in fact I often get offers to sell me this list of email, which guess what.. I'm on. So yea I get lotsa lotsa spam, luckly its not a huge time waister as I have filter present to take care of many and can run down a list with my eyeball deleting spam in notime. Now if I didn't check my email for months, I'm sure I would be absolutly terrified of the amount of junk I had to deal with when I got back, but as of current, its no big deal.
I this its a US thing to choose the most popular choice no matter what. For example, was listening to a news commentary the other day, and the guy was reading his mail. He got some mail that said, "You still don't like Bush? I bet you'd change your opinion if you looked at his ratings, its 90%. How can you not like the guy." This wasn't the exact quote, I wish I could remember it. But basically the guy was saying BECAUSE everyone else likes him, you HAVE to like him, no matter what your personal feelings are. (btw I happen to like bush, I have from the start, actually no I liked McCain from the start, I figured Bush was second best, anyways)
People in this country are sheep, there is simply no way of getting around it.
You just have to be willing to look for a good clan server to play on. Many have setups where if you cheat you are immediently banned, and it works pretty well. (Went through a short time after punk-buster stopped developing that cheating was horrid, but that has pretty much been fixed) If you want more info, email me, I'm not about to post the game server on slashdot, we really don't want the slashdot effect.
Because there is a standard driver for USB harddrives. If you follow the standard in making your harddrive (or memory card drive) it will work without additional drivers. BUT! it does require the operating system to know this standards, win98 doesn't have the standard driver (thats why it says on bottom, comes with windows 98 driver), windows 2000, ME, and XP include this driver, as well as Mac OS 8.6 and above. Linux 2.4 comes with standard driver, but linux 2.2 doesn't. You can get the driver for linux 2.2 though.
Oh yea, as mentioned by someone else. Monks have plenty of time, and enjoy learning. Use this to your advantage, if you can get even 1 computer setup, show them how you did it, give them instructions, and let them learn. Which in my opinion is the best way to learn linux anyways.
Umm burn yourself copies of EVERY HOWTO you might even remotly think you need, EVERY major kernel version, EVERY driver you might think possible. I'd also contact them ahead of time and try to found out what the computers are, and as much info about the hardware as they can possibly provide. If they are old, you may have some SERIOUS headaches. You may also want to bring a few copies of BSD just in case.
And of course pray, pray heavily, pray often. Oh yea and before you leave, practice practice, practice, practive. Oh yea did I say practice. Installing linux on most likly old computers, you havn't seen which don't have an internet connection is a job only the most brave should take. If you can accomplish this, mention this at any tech job, you will be instantly hired. Oh yea, bring a laptop if you can with linux and windows and whatever network connection and dialup equipment you can find just in case. Oh yea, and do like the monks. Pray!
Yea, but those new ones, with the front panels are really neat! Actually an advancement if you ask me. But yea, Sound Quality, blah whatever, there is a noticable different when you use something better than plain headphone jack cables though. RCA at minimum. Otherwise, its all fluff.
Yea, I agree, you should be able to pee whereever you want in the swimming pool. And not have to go over to the damn peeing section which is already a bit too warm, in order to pee without getting yelled at.
Your kidding me right? Anyways metric is ideal for scientific measurements. Its not exactly perfect for everything, just as the english system is pretty good for man human things, and not very good for scientific measurements, no one is perfect, but its confusing to have both, and as we move to more tech society the scientific becomes more important. BTW in case you've never taken much science, everything in metric can be tied together.
1 cm^3 = 1 ml
1 ml of water = 1 g

Well I know that so far palantine is keeping CS servers cheat free now, and doing a damn good job at it, just hope it can stay that way.

Just outta curiosity. How do you reinstall windows tcp/ip stack?
Yea but you can READ rtf formats with a plain text editor, try it sometimes, its neat! (I use them for automated document editing with grep scripts)

Yea, exactly, and the exchange rate is shit. So total contributions are equal to what? $1.95?
Have you read many howtos, I bet babblefish couldn't do much worse, it would probably atleast clean up their grammer some.
