No they don't control the roaches mind. They inject a drug that pacifies the roach, then they control it with its antennae kinda like reins. Not direct mind control of any sort.
I still don't understand why people think ram is expensive. I still remember the day paying (well my father paying) $80 bucks for a 128KB chip (yes that KB not MB)
Yes, but the average person understands there is a vast different in the cold war MUD city destroying nukes, and small tactical nukes. Either way it would be an interesting question to weither these russian missles are attached to large warheads or tactical ones. I mean really is there any reason to need to destroy entire US cities?
Whats intereting to consider as well is do the Russians reallly need a missle that can get around USs shield. Imagine the situation being in reverse, if anyone found out that the US was spending money post cold war developing a a zigzag missle to defeat Russian shield technology they would scream from the hilltops that our terrorist president was preparing to invade Russia.
He and Melinda have 3 children. I read somewhere that they have a max inheritance of less than 1%, and the rest is set for charaties (though it will probably be given away as stock with strings, as the mass sale of gates stock would destroy microsoft.
Its POSSIBLE that their normal software is programmed to to not accept numbers bigger than X so they need different software for gates. Obviously goverment efficiency mandates this must be on its own computer.
Well the numbers don't work out exactly that way. The figure comes from the fact that in south-dakota it would take 1,100 tower to cover the state, instead they are using 3 ballons. The state is very rural. You can be sure that 3 ballons would not be nearly enough if placed over an urban area, simply because while you would have the coverage area of NY with maybe 5 ballons, you simple couldn't handle the millions of calls with so few ballons.
Either way in call volume one of these ballons may not even handle as much as a single tower and arn't attached to a hardline. But for rural areas were a tower simply does not make sense these ballons are a great idea.
Well even if no regulation are posted internet access will always cost something.. Its not like the telcos can maintain the lines for free. It will be interesting to see the day when telcos are forced to charge MORE for bandwidth (as the trend latly is bandwidth is getting cheaper and cheaper) in order to stay in buisness.
To all of this I say SO WHAT. To all those who don't know Wikipedia is EDITABLE. Anyone can put whatever they like. Now if a specific congresscriter adding false information on another congressciters page, that MIGHT be news. But I'm sorry Wikipedia is publically editable, and getting angry because someone EDITED wikipedia is absolutly rediculus.
(Now if only slashdot would let me correct my spelling mistakes after posting)
I'm not entirely sure how slashdot works either, but if you think he read the article, before he posted his comment, you understand slashdot a lot worse than most people.
See, you're supposed to post first before anyone else can.
Note: It is possible to run a datacenter on almost entirly DC power. DC input power supplies are fairly inexpensive, though if you've already invested in AC supplies the switch is obviously expensive.
Let me put this a better way, you can saftly ignore old MS or NS specific standards. One can be sure that a browser that is XHTML2 complient will render the classic HTML tags properly, its more from a cellphone users perspective that they won't be able to browse many websites that use MS specific code. Such was the dream originally of Mozilla that they could make a browser that didn't bow to old strange standards, unfortunatly they were forced to. Luckily the the mobile phone world the expectation to browse all website isn't as strong.
I think the idea is that a cellphone currently can't view most pages, only pages specificially designed for their use. So in designing the next generation of cellphone websites you can saftly ignore old standards.
They arn't giving china information on its citizens (though I believe there are search engines that are??) simply complying with blocking requirements by the chinese government. Look at it the other way google currently attempts to block warez sites which the US government deems illigal, such blocking would be seen my many in china to be an parralel example.
Also there is the chance that it could be picked up by the scifi channel.. Wasn't Stargate SG1 originally picked up by Showtime then Scifi? Showtime or HBO would do too, but unlikly.
More concerned about population control if we add every child that was aborted to our population as well as remove the negative consequences of unplanned pregnancy population would spiral out of control. OR I could be wrong..
with the costs born by the state. I have a slight problem with that as such encourages people not to be concerned with getting pregnant as there are no drawbacks and it gets them free medical care at best. Population control will also be important in the future. I don't know the solution, required sterilization for such a procedure maybe, though that may discourage some people from taking it. Possibly a drug to provide X years of sterilization might do the trick as most of these people might ONE day want a family, just not right now.
I'm pretty sure corn syrup is still cheaper unsubsidized than cane sugar. I still wish cola manufactures would provide the more expensive option of cane sugar version.
But the real deal happends when to stop and realize that your side also has some evil. Take the abortion issue for instance. The pro-abortionist understand that before abortion was legal that many women would mutilate themselves in order to have an abortion at any cost, they think to ever allow this to happen again ever is evil. The anti-abortionist think that killing a baby ever even inside the womb is evil. Then on the flip side the rabit pro-abortionist think that anyone should be able to kill their children up till you cut the cord, while the rabid anti-abortionist think killing doctors is ok, but killing a day old embryo is sin. There really isn't any reconciliation of these views, but its impossible to say that one side of the extremist is any less evil than the other side.
Are you saying she didn't ask for it by the way she dressed?
All trolling aside I wonder if this will pass constitutional muster. You can't outlaw abortions in a state, can one simply tax it to obscurity. At 10K it would be cheaper just to goto the next state, and I assume thats what they want.

Hmm these seem to be O'Reilly books, why are they not available on safari? :(

$300 is the rumored price of the full keyboard $100 is the current pre-order price for the mini three.

I assume it is the patent office that would actually have to inact these reforms?

You just wait! Perl 6 is coming... Any minute now... should be here soon... really... oh heck...
And of course the really rabid political sides are still arguing the Perl 4 VS Perl 5 debate.
I'm pretty sure corn syrup is still cheaper unsubsidized than cane sugar. I still wish cola manufactures would provide the more expensive option of cane sugar version.
You can still purchase original cane sugar Dr. Pepper at http://www.dublindrpepper.com/
