Whoa. You mean it's not? I never looked and always thought it was supposed to be some Globalization subject icon with Mickey as its representation. I'm disappointed.
Dude, I don't know what mice you've tried, but any current optical mouse that you didn't pay $10 for should be perfectly fine. I can flick my Logitech MX500 (one sensor, better than the dual-sensor for sensitivity) around like a madman and it tracks perfectly. Now, my first-gen logitech optical didn't do so well, but that was a loong time ago.
I projected for a couple of years at a theater, and while I have to agree that I would never want to tape a movie from the booth, I generally had eight projectors to take care of and had more free time than I knew what to do with. I'd regularly read hundreds of pages of a novel in a shift. And there were speakers on the projector to listen to the soundtrack, should you want to. Watching movies from the booth was a pretty common thing. I miss that job. Not that this has anything to do with anything, but I just wanted to wax nostalgic.
Obviously you've either not been to college, or you forget what it's like. At my school you always pay for things that you'll never use. Tuition and 'general fees' go toward events only applicable to fraternities and people that live on campus, alienating a good 75% of the student body, at least. It's how it goes.
You deal with the same sort of thing every time you shave a beard, or get a radically different haircut. It's just a little more extreme. And I imagine the disfigured person dealt with the _exact_ same thing after receiving the disfigurement.
I have a slew of game consoles, though the GC is the only "next-gen" system I own, and my PC. However, I only have a few games for each console and a _lot_ of games on my PC. It's really pretty simple why I have more games for my PC. Up until _very_ recently, decent online-play is only available on a computer. I can get fairly-new PC games for $20 used, as opposed to the $35 I'd have to spent on a "new" used GC game. Sure, the initial investment is a little (lot) steeper, but it makes me _feel_ like I'm saving, dammit.;) Other than that, I just like the games available on the PC better, and as is the case for all ports, the games ported from the PC to consoles are almost invariably better executed on the original system. And yeah, I like using the keyboard/mouse combo better than a controller, usually.
They are replacing human-powered bikes, not cars.
Funny? What are the mods smoking, lately? Do we need an acronym for Read the Fucking Comment now?
Come on, that's not interesting. Be a dick to the guys working minimum wage to make sure that your movie doesn't break 5 minutes before the climax?
Informative and insightful! Now that is funny.

I'm sorry, but there are a number of alternatives to spam, such as what was used for the number of years that allegedly existed prior to email.
Oh yeah? Then why were they using Realmedia in the first place?
Oh. My. God. An either rude or stressed out person poked another easily ruffled person. What is the world coming to.
Commentary on same.
Cheers.
The 9100 is a rebranded 8500, not a castrated one. The 9000 is castrated, and the 9200 is castrated, but has fake nuts. (9000 + 8X AGP)

Of course, I'm not saying it _isn't_ sketchy, but, really. I'm just saying that's a silly argument. :)
..do you refuse to install any software not approved by MS?
I've played Quake3 on a p166 with a voodoo2. It ran like balls, but, I mean, if _that_ can run it, then I would hope that your p4 would do alright.
...takes seven years to get up, and is going to probe where no man has probed before?
A damn sexxeh probe.

To be fair, Win2000 was 3 years ago too.
www.foobar2000.com for Audio.
Media Player Classic at http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/ for video. That's all ya need.
We don't all afford to go.
And those of us that choose to anyway are mired in debt for the rest of our lives.
God Bless America!
You know, they have these great things called busses that will take you almost anywhere without your attention required. ;)

"Military Healthcare Data Stolen!"
