    Your homeowners' association may not like it, but they can't do shit about it. CC&R's restricting antenna height have been ruled invalid every time they've been challenged. As long as the antenna is built safely, and is on private, non-shared property you would be fine.

    Actually, in many cases you are obligated to report crimes to the authorities. If you know of a crime being (or having been) committed and don't report it, you can often be charged as an accessory. Whether or not you are depends on how insane your local DA is.

    A driver's license is just that, a license to drive a car. Same with a Social Security card/number, to identify you to the IRS and Social Security. Yet both of these are used as general identification. I think it's about time we had a standardized identification card. How many bars have gotten in trouble with the excise police because the accepted a fake out-of-state drivers license? It may have been the first time the bouncer saw a license from that state, and thus, has no reference in his mind. If this passes we might have something to replace Social Security numbers as the primary key for credit agencies that won't be treated as both identification and a password.

    Their complete manufacturer list shows Apple as one of their suppliers. They sell iPods. I see them losing this ability in the near future.

    • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

    Do you really want to implement "copy or compare data from this pointer to a pointer until you get a 0x00" in assembly just to copy or compare a filename?

    Implement? sure! In Motorola 68k assembly, it's an entire four lines plus a label to jump to when done.

    If all it requires is using more than one stroke for some letters then Graffiti already does this. Take "X" for example its two strokes, a "\" and a "/". And all the puncuation is two strokes also.

    There is an alpha release for the HipZip that supports Vorbis files, but it can only play files created with b4 or earlier.

    All of the Handspring clones have an expantion port for larger memory space (as well as modems etc.) and with the m50x out and the sony clones we have basically no limit on memory.

    When i joined (it was a few years ago) they required no such thing. (I don't beleive they do now)
    It may take a few days to get approved but for those in the US getting the roms legally from there is just a matter of going through their clickwrap license (those outside of the US need to snailmail a license) You can sign up here.

    (1280*960*24bpp)/8 gives us just under 3.6MB/image
    we have 5000MB/drive
    5000/3.6 gives us over 1300 images with over 200MB left over for overhead
    That should be more than enough for most people.
