    Except that the GPL2 allows for an "upgrade of license" exemption, which is almost always applied, and means that anything licensed under those terms can be converted to GPL3 at any time by anyone for their particular copy.

    That's prolly the best way, license it "GPL 2 or later".

    I actually had a copy of it myself as a kid. Pity I had to leave all my disks behind in a move. :/

    These days I've amassed a huge collection of software but a lot of the stuff I actually used as a little kid, I can't even find on the sites (asimov etc.), and a lot of that was MECC or Spinnaker.

    I'd die if someone showed up a disk image of the Elementary Volume XX whatever that had "Oregon" on it.

    Also looking for StoryMaker, Story Machine, FaceMaker and In Search of the Most Amazing Thing (I have the PC version of the last of these) - most of those are Spinnaker, I think StoryMaker was DesignWare.

    Ouch. And Verizon and TW *are* my only options, devil you do know is better than the devil you don't so I stuck with VZ when I moved back in November. I pay a bit for my package, they KNOW I run servers on my connection, hell I told them outright I was doing it, and I paid for a connection which was best designed *for* that purpose, that said right on it that that was its purpose.

    Sure, the Mac fanboi attitude is to buy stuff, but remember, OSX is a BSD, and a lot of the same stuff Linux has can easily be ported to OSX and probably has been.

    If not - you can always try to do things the "source" way ... though that's not for the faint of heart even if it is as simple as ./configure && make && sudo make install

    5 days here, and I agree - 5 for fighting, 40 for filming a teacher, wtf?

    Most I'd suggest would be 2. And if I were running the show, ... it would be based on whose camera, whose bandwidth. (School property = greater punishment. Not their camera, not their connection to upload to YT? 5 nights detention, that's it.)

    If it's anything like the HS I went to ... 20 absences for any reason lost you credit for the class, and you had to repeat it. 40? You might as well suspend them for the rest of the year as they'll still have to repeat the whole year no matter how well they do.
