I have stopped watching American TV. Anything I want to watch is Japanese and I download it through IRC or BitTorrent. American TV has become teh sux as of late, what with the best channels of old (MTV, VH1 and CMT) losing their way and forgetting that they are supposed to be MUSIC VIDEO NETWORKS. >.;;;;;
Not yet. I have run 3.00a in 286 mode, however, but it's highly crashprone. I think a lot of the devs don't think it's worth the bother aiming for Win3.x compatibility, but if it don't run Windows 3.1x, it ain't 100% compatible...
DOSBOX only does 286. There are a good number of DOS games that need a 386. (My favorite, Wolfenstein 3-D, isn't one of them; it runs just fine on a 286. I actually use DOSBOX to test my hacks on Wolf3D.)
For the most part yes. It's quite compatible now. When I first started using FreeDOS, not even QuickBasic ran right, but now it's hard to find - apart from Windows 3 - software that doesn't run on FreeDOS that does run on MS-DOS.
As to the ridiculousness of patenting Stadium Seating the movie theater in Oswego, NY had it as early as 1986 on all upstairs screens (1 in 1986; 2 in 1992 when I was last there). Regal was touting it a couple years ago as a new thing, like hell it was. It was NO DIFFERENT from what Oswego had 15 years earlier.
At least if they had common sense and wanted to go draconian, they could block all incoming connections, and all outgoing connections except on port 80 (and maybe 21 and 23).

Saw part of it. Decent video, sucky audio. You'd think screeners would have gotten better by now.
Though frankly, I wish it were a direct to video release. They don't show F911 here is why I downloaded the 2-VCD screener.

Apple /// CPU was 6502B

One of their computers, the predecessor of the C64, was the "VIC-20".

DOSEMU uses FreeDOS to do just that.

Thought about a year ago there was a fuss about Linux Mandrake putting adware in their free-for-download distro.

But FFMPEG already does WMA, and quite well too.

And drink some shampaggen?
If other companies would take the lead and release their obsolete games for free download... I'd sure love to see legal free Mortal Kombat-ness.

jrok, you're gonna kill me when your server gets assfucked by a bunch of slashbots. LMAO
Q*Bert clone for MS-DOS
Best I could do for you.

On a standard CRT, white on black is actually more readable, imho, than the reverse; you don't have a screen full of light blaring at your eyes.

Niagara Falls, NY. If you ask for "tea", by default it will be hot tea.

The poem you quote is used in teh game as part of a puzzle. BTW, it reads slightly different there; "micturnations" is read "nacturnations".

512? Geez. I can run gaim + amsn + ymessenger + xchat + glinks and a couple xterms on my computer, and I have... O.O 64 MB RAM
hell, but workable.

And an fserv script for serving files on IRC. Nice one too, used it myself, know someone who runs a bot on it.

giFTcurs, for connecting to the P2P networks. I use it for KaZaA all the time, you'll need the giFT-FastTrack plugin.
BitTorrent and Shad0w's client (does BitTornado still have this mode?) have console modes.
irssi, best console-based IRC client evar.
nano, my choice of text editor *ducks*.
ncftp for ftp.
mplayer to play mp3 and ogg files, it works at teh console too.
I really only use X for running xterms, xmms and xchat, and all of what I do, I don't really need X for at all. XD;
