    I have stopped watching American TV. Anything I want to watch is Japanese and I download it through IRC or BitTorrent. American TV has become teh sux as of late, what with the best channels of old (MTV, VH1 and CMT) losing their way and forgetting that they are supposed to be MUSIC VIDEO NETWORKS. >.;;;;;

    Saw part of it. Decent video, sucky audio. You'd think screeners would have gotten better by now.

    Though frankly, I wish it were a direct to video release. They don't show F911 here is why I downloaded the 2-VCD screener.

    Not yet. I have run 3.00a in 286 mode, however, but it's highly crashprone. I think a lot of the devs don't think it's worth the bother aiming for Win3.x compatibility, but if it don't run Windows 3.1x, it ain't 100% compatible...

    DOSBOX only does 286. There are a good number of DOS games that need a 386. (My favorite, Wolfenstein 3-D, isn't one of them; it runs just fine on a 286. I actually use DOSBOX to test my hacks on Wolf3D.)

    For the most part yes. It's quite compatible now. When I first started using FreeDOS, not even QuickBasic ran right, but now it's hard to find - apart from Windows 3 - software that doesn't run on FreeDOS that does run on MS-DOS.

    As to the ridiculousness of patenting Stadium Seating the movie theater in Oswego, NY had it as early as 1986 on all upstairs screens (1 in 1986; 2 in 1992 when I was last there). Regal was touting it a couple years ago as a new thing, like hell it was. It was NO DIFFERENT from what Oswego had 15 years earlier.

    giFTcurs, for connecting to the P2P networks. I use it for KaZaA all the time, you'll need the giFT-FastTrack plugin.

    BitTorrent and Shad0w's client (does BitTornado still have this mode?) have console modes.

    irssi, best console-based IRC client evar.

    nano, my choice of text editor *ducks*.

    ncftp for ftp.

    mplayer to play mp3 and ogg files, it works at teh console too.

    I really only use X for running xterms, xmms and xchat, and all of what I do, I don't really need X for at all. XD;
