    Oh hm, you must have forgotten about Cygwin ... or about U/WIN (created by David "ksh" Korn) ... or NT's own POSIX subsystem (as pathetic as it is)... Cygwin and U/WIN are both so complete you can run X Window on them, need I say more? Of course you can run *x apps on Windows, and it's been possible for some time now.

    giFT is a P2P file sharing client that can access among others the KaZaA network, with the right plugins; it has a host of different UIs and a single backend. It would be nice to see more programs like that.

    What happened to the Web as a medium for conveying information ? Forget these gewgaws, they're a waste of time and bandwidth and aren't compatible across the board like say... HTML 3.2 (that's what I try to code my pages to, loosely). You don't need iframes (which don't show up right in glinks), heavy formatting, popups, layers, etc., just get to the bloody point!

    Improving vision is something that interests me, as my left eye doesn't focus properly. I wonder if a variation of this could improve on that kind of a "lazy eye" (I think it's a genetic defect)
