Like when Sony tried to tell Stan Lee that they didn't make any profit off Spiderman, therefore he won't be getting any royalites. SHA! You should not mess with a guy who has made millions off creating crime-fighting heros.
Console games retain their value much better than PC games. Look on Ebay at any game that came out last year and you can find it for less than half of what it cost.
Now try the same thing for some PS2 and XBox games. For many, the price may only drop 5 to 10 bucks.
I think the popularity of console games also shows that people are sick of computer game companies putting out unfinished software. I am sick of having to download 20 megs worth of updates just to keep my game from crashing.
I do still play computer games like Icewind Dale II and Unreal 2003, but I have really gotten used to some of the great titles on the PS2.
People (consumers) want quality and value, and you just can't get that if you buy a lot of comptuer games.
I agree....Deus Ex sucked. I could not get into it at all.
I am just glad that the industry got over the "multimedia" crap they were dishing out. Remember? They would take a game, add a little extra sound, and throw in some short videos that you got to see over and over.
Remember that game Critical Path? You could finish the whole thing in about 10 minutes.
I've been at my new job for a little over 4 months and have not gotten anything in the way of spam.
However, I have had two telemarketer calls already. One was one of those pre-recorded messages from a "Cowboy Bob" talking about how I can get a free pager.
So what if they stop access to.gov. I want to know when I'm going to stop getting deceiving snail mail from places like Register.com who deceptively try to get me to swtich my domain over to them with a bogus "RENEW NOW" notice.
On the last Black Crowes album, Lions, they did the same thing. It came with a unique number encoded on the CD and you could use it go on their site and download 2 full length live concerts. Of course, the quality was low but its the thought that counts. After getting the two, you can listen to them online in streaming audio. It was a nice touch.
I know there are 2 Dell laptops in the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico that used to belong to an upper management mofo in a company I used to work for. Seems he liked to take his laptop fishing with him. Of course, he may have been stealing them.
Anybody who doesn't read their bill before paying it is a jackass anyway. I look over my credit card bill every time...same for phone bill just to make sure. I've had to call the phone company a couple of times because of calls that I know were not made, and they dropped them from the bill.
I have yet to see a decent computer game version of Magic. I got the older DOS-based one where you walk around picking up cards and stuff...its lame and buggy.
Besides, everybody is gonna be playing that new Star Wars online game.
Yeah I got a cappucino machine that is supposed to make 2 cups worth. The little beaker thing is just big enough to fill one coffee mug.

It took me longer to read that stupid review than it did to watch the actual movie...I think the reviewer is just mad that none of the guys in it ever took their shirts off.
Yeah yeah...we all know what he was REALLY doing. He needed to test something before he used the foam to make a mold for his man-parts so that he could go build naughty sandcastles on the beach this summer.
Same here....I work as a web developer and crap like that has confused my clients.
There are also the ones that check to see if you own a.com address, then send out snail mail telling you to REGISTER NOW before someone steals.net,.org,.tv, etc. I had a guy who was about to go and register a bunch more domains through these schmucks.
I got two of these letters from a company called Interland and even two from Register.com. On the back of the page it mentioned something about how it would effectively change registrars and how this could incur new fees. I was unbelievably pissed and notified my web host, so they sent out an email to all their customers to warn them.

I agree about the audio...some of the music was way too distorted sounded and it lacked bass. It was just a bit too much white noise.
I thought the effects were cool except for that big monster thing...it was out of place in the whole movie.
I have gotten to the point where I hardly ever buy computer games any more because they have pretty much NO resale value. Like right now, I have about 25 of my old DOS and Windows games on Ebay, and the combined total of the bids is less than 20 bucks. Thats less than 1 dollar per game, when I paid at least 15-20 bucks per game just a couple of years ago.
That's why I have been getting into console gaming, because I know I can resell the titles when I'm finished.
Damn! Since Blade Runner bombed at the theatre, they have been trying really hard to make their money back in video and DVD sales. How many more versions of this are they going to put out?
Someone should make a theme song about the DMCA. Call themselves the Shire Persons and do stupid gay dances while singing it. Dress up like various Tolkien characters. Yeah.
Ever notice how Mr. Barlow looks like Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek TNG's 'Number One') is gonna look in about 20 years?
My brother has over a star wars stormtrooper mask. This guy got on there and posted 20 or so items related to Star Wars costumes. No item went for more than $100 if I remember. He never delivered. I don't know if anything ever came of it.
Personally, I have had a lot of problems with kids on there, bidding on stuff then never paying. It is kind of obvious when they write you. Still, I've had far more success than failure on the site, and I'm careful who I buy from.

It is mathematics like this that allow companies such as Worldcom and Enron to cook their books.

And then they sue you and you lose because you are small. I would NOT recommend getting into a fax war with a bunch of people like that.
But it is a good idea....
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Change your call plan to free incoming and realize thats all you can do about it. Don't give out your cell phone number any more either, dingleberry.

TechTV is losing money cuz their building crap like this instead of figuring out how to turn a profit.
