I'm particularly fond of the "what are the odds" argument. One wonders what the odds are of a universe creating super-being having willed the universe into existence. A super-being, by the way, that himself wasn't created somehow, but just "was". From living in this world for many years, I'd have to say the odds against that are essentially infinite.
Creationists don't use logic, they use revealed truth. Anything that contradicts their fixed perspective must be a mistake or an illusion created by the devil.
I wonder how many street crimes don't occur at all because the cameras are present? Also, where precisely is the "liberty" to not be observed by a police officer in a public place defined? Until these questioned are answered, we can't proceed in our analysis.
The "native Americans" were not a single people, but rather a collection of tribes. They had no nation state as we know it, and no defined political borders. Hence, the English settlers were not "illegal immigrants". Q.E.D.
Not to mention they would have to beam the radio signal directly at earth in a tight beam with the amplitude approaching that of a pulsar. Otherwise the signal amplitude would get lost in the background noise due to the inverse square law.
There are limits on our transmissions. Due to the inverse square law, the amplitude of our transmissions drops below the level of the big bang echo before it leaves the solar system. We can't hear them, and they can't hear us.
Sorry, it's not an "invasion of privacy" to take the picture of a house on a public street. I wonder if it's an invasion of privacy to look at a private house as you drive by. Pure, crystalline, perfect idiocy. Therefore I predict the lawsuit will succeed.
But I thought the hydrocarbons came from dead plants and dinosaurs. This is proof positive that Titan had 100 times the dinosaur population that the Earth had! Amazing! Or they were 100x bigger (low gravity). Amazing.
True. I ammend item #1 to note that taxation isn't a zero sum game. The government does indeed just move money around, but because it charges a substantial handling fee, it is a negative sum game. In other words they are a middle man in a quasi-coercive transaction. Straightforward theft is far more efficient. I say quasi-coercive, because you do have the ability to renounce your citizenship and not pay the taxes.
False as well. Japan is our ally, and we killed lots of 'em. Same goes for Germany. You could fill up 1000 volumes with the quantity of history you are ignorant of.
All you do is sit and type all day and have absolutely no respect from society. It's worse than being an accountant.

Beware of any institution whose foundations are madness.
Are you implying that Santa doesn't exist!?

At cosmic distances, elsewhere and elsewhen are synonymous.

Many life form on earth are as evolved as we are, many, like alligators, are far more evolved. Not as intelligent, but just as (or more) evolved.
They would probably use us as nutrition, so that's OK.

We have solved the problem: we destroyed them, or they decided they liked electric lighting and warmth better than a tent on the plains.
We have a grip. It's called "food supply".

Are you referring to FDR?
True, but to what end? Is the world really any safer if the U.S. has 1000 nukes vs 10000? No.

He needed the other half to buy carbon offsets for his private jet.
That's what the garbage men say too. And in an IT job, that is roughly the amount of respect you are accorded.
OK. Then ask for it. If you are denied, find another job.
You are free to make any arrangement you like with your employer.
I want one of these to use on my neighbors dog.
