Dude, calm down. I never said autism is a joke or that all autism is ADHD.
I'll re-phrase it for you...Many other 'disorders' that aren't really disorders have been lumped into the 'autism' category. That is the cause of the 'rise' in autism cases.
Autism rates are not climbing, the types of 'disabilities' classified as autism are climbing. Like ADHD = autism, shyness = autism.
You know, if you didn't feed your kids a pound of sugar a day and then not let them run around or interact during recess, they probably wouldn't be hyperactive twits with no friends.
In the article, it says 43 percent don't play with their kids, that means 57% DO play...seems MOST parents play games with their kids....Of course, this is coming from MSNBC.
Plenty of Wiis are in homes, but no one is making any games for them. They all seem to have bet on the wrong company and are stuck in exclusivity contracts with Sony and their console that just won't sell.
Unlike previous months, Wiis are now sitting on shelves in every major store in my area. Not only that but I hear the same exact story over and over again from people I know who own a Wii or talk about it on the net
Really? I've got one because I lucked out and found a store that had 2 left, there were 2 other people in line, and one had their credit card declined. My sister tho, is still looking for one at all the stores. Are you sure you're thinking of the right console? The Wii is a smallish white box and a PS3 is a shiny black box. Be sure you have your colors right, because I've seen loads of PS3s sitting on the shelves, but no Wiis
The "Save The Internet" group, which is for "internet freedom" (that is, it wants net neutrality enshrined in law), has really taken things to a new low. Ed Whitacre, one of the biggest sources of hot air in this debate, stepped down this week at CEO of AT&T. Save The Internet decided to mark the occasion by making a video of what they imagine Whitacre's final pep talk to AT&T execs was like, with all sorts of inflammatory -- and made-up -- quotes. They then put the quotes in a blog post, as if they'd actually come from Whitacre. While they embed the video in the blog post, there's no indication that the quotes aren't actually real. If you watch the video, it's pretty obvious, but few people seem to be noticing.
but really I do hope that the result of this is that radio stations choose to just avoid RIAA represented music, and we get a better variety!
Doesn't matter if the artist is represented by the RIAA or not. It's just like with the webcasters, you will get charged no matter what you play. If the artist wants to get their share of the money, they MUST join the SoundeXchange/RIAA.
Wait, wait, wait...I thought everyone was saying that Vista copied the Mac interface. Are they now saying that the Mac interface is flashy and tasteless?
Other than the novel input device, developers targeting the Wii need to basically use last-gen engines and techniques.
And I'd rather play a really fun game than a so-so game that looks really pretty. Too many publishers are pushing super shiny graphics as the fix to poor gameplay.
I think it's fairly ironic that the guy works for the company that makes The Sims, one of the ugliest, most technologically behind games I know of that just happens to be addictive and have a crazy following, yet he blasts Nintendo, company that makes the most technologically behind game systems that just happens to be addictive and have a crazy following.
I think it's funny that a game developer sees really awesome graphics as mandatory and fun as optional. It kind of reminds me of a lot of game review sites that will give a game a high rating just because it looks pretty and has shiney bits.
I've seen this way too many times to count: "Although the controls are sluggish and unintuitive and the game play is repetitive and tedious, the graphics really well done....9 out of 10."
"Lacks serious literary, artistic, political or scientific value for minors." Considering what the NEA considers "art", then every video game *IS* art and this law is doomed to be struck down. Yet again, wasting taxpayer money and judicial resources.
Sure, except you cannot defend yourself with a gun
defend/dfnd/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[di-fend] -verb (used with object) 1. to ward off attack from; guard against assault or injury (usually fol. by from or against): The sentry defended the gate against sudden attack.
So, the phrase "I defended myself from the knife wielding maniac, who was hell-bent on stabbing me, by shooting him with my gun." is a completely correct usage of the word defend.
That, coupled with a mandated recount in a random sampling of districts in each county after the election.
If you ever get a chance to watch HBOs "Hacking Democracy", you should watch it. It's mainly about electronic voting, but not just about electronic voting. It's about the non-transparency of present day voting. One of the things they cover is about the manditory 3% or 4% recount to make sure they don't need a full recount. The problem lies in the fact that the ballots selected are not random. The law specifies that the 3% is "randomly self-selected" by the district/state elections clerk. This means that out of 10,000 ballots, they pick and choose 300-400 ballots to have public volunteers recount. The public volunteers suspected that the ballots were picked specifically to match the final percentages so there would be no recount. Most of the ballots were grouped together by party lines as if they picked out a certain number of (R) ballots, a certain number of (D) ballots, and a certain number of (I) ballots but forgot to shuffle them together.
Awesome example. However, I suspect some Chinese official would come back with a response of how Google wishes to promote only peaceful images of Tiananmen Square and they had nothing to do with the image results of an American-based company.
Try turning on 'strict safe search' on the English google.com site. You start getting very similar results to the Chinese google.
Good software requires people who know the software in questions. Excelent software requires people who positively relate to the software, see it as their baby. It requires people who know the problem domain.
Any you usually get what you pay for. You want to take the low-ball $20 bid on a job worth $100?...prepare for some crap.
pine is non-free (http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/license-list.html), use mutt
Use of Pine/Pico/Pilot: You may compile and execute these programs for any purpose, including commercial, without paying anything to the University of Washington, provided that the legal notices are maintained intact and honored.

What about all the new tropical storms and hurricanes this will cause?
Countdown to copyright lawsuits..10.9.8.7.6...
or run Vista 64bit, nothing runs on that!
No, that's conservatives. The Republican party no longer represents conservative values.

You could wrap the charge cable around a duct a few times, slap a fan on the end and cook a roast while your at it.
