"Our biochem corpus is far in advance of theirs, as is our electronic sentience. And their...ethical inflexibility has allowed us to make progress in areas they refuse to consider. "
No.
The recording industry is not the person who bought the bottle of water.
They sold that bottle of water to a customer.
That costumer then says "hey, who wants some of my water?"
Suddenly, "criminal enterprise."
"Of all the people to survive, he's not the one you would have chosen, is it? But if you could choose, Doctor, if you could decide who lives and who dies... that would make you a monster."
Brief addendum to my response:
Your complaint seems to be akin to "Car owners are speeding and street racing in your vehicles. If these are criminal acts, then so is your manufacturing plant."
Filesharing is not inherently illegal nor immoral. I do not like the fact that the term "filesharing" is being used to mean "exchanging strictly proprietary media."
If users utilize your service to exchange proprietary media, that is on them, not you.
So, I'm not nitpicking, no.
I think I'll - $32?! Jeezus, if I was still a student I'd be set..

Just don't ask that fella for a tarot reading. Unless you really like naps.
I'm going to dream about an old woman in a cornfield on a porch soon, aren't I?

Actually in this case it's more like a bunch of people putting taps on someone's bottle of water that they bought..
Right, right, of course. Of course. I think that film gave me brain damage and I've forgotten the details of the original story as a result.
"Of all the people to survive, he's not the one you would have chosen, is it? But if you could choose, Doctor, if you could decide who lives and who dies... that would make you a monster."
Officer: You're not really driving at night with a tinted windshield, are you? Driver: My vision is augmented.
And before anyone asks, no, nobody ordered a pizza.
Now give me my subdermal and/or extraneural memory storage, dammit.
Right... As I was trying to say ... So ... Why was I modded down as a troll? Go figure..
What, dude?
A little IDCLIP and you can just take a straight shot to Phobos without regard for any flight planning!
Right, and why the hell would the US be interested in cockblocking geological research?
... Phobos Grunt? We all know what happens on Phobos when you get a grunt up there. IDDQD, Russia, IDDQD!
inb4 anyone mentions Creationism. But seriously, this is incredibly fascinating and I'm looking forward to how this knowledge can/will be applied.

Cripes, I can't think of any puns. That's what I get for Russian myself.
