    There's several criteria for picking the one world language. Lessee:

    • English : used by the (currently) richest/most powerful/most technologically advanced country
    • Chinese : used by the most people
    • French :once was in line to be the "linga franca" as you would say
    • Welsh : we could then speak to our alien overlords in their own language
    • Spanish : Most of the Western hemisphere speaks this
    • Japaneese : they were going own the world for a couple of years in the 80's
    • German : another outrageous accent, suitable for ranting
    • Esperanto : cripes, no!
    • Klingon : I wasn't aware there were nerdwarriors
    • Cetain: How many wars do dolphins get into?

    Why don't IBM, HP, SUN et al just throw together a good entry-level common distro and give it away just to GUT Microsoft ? Are they afraid the DOJ will sue them for collusion?!!

    Any money to be made on Linux is all in the support.

    Now the shoe's on the other foot (through their own ineptitude). If the FTC (or the British/EU equivalent) lets them get away with the first, they should hold them responsible for the second.

    The munchies stimulate the economy -- particularly in the service sector which, with the corps shipping all manufacturing off to overseas sweatshops, is exctly what puts money in the pockets of real Americans!
