This is probably the one and only time someone was completely glad they got a telemarketing call in all of history.
I would've thought until one lonely Friday night, some telemarketer called me and gave me an offer for vinyl siding for my house. Funny thing was i was so bored and lonely that i actually spent an hour talking with the solicitor. I still don't have a date to this day, but at least my house look decent now;)
This might be me, but i would much rather have a phone company solicitor call to sell me minutes when im running out than a sales rep offering to sell me a "package" deal where i can consolidate my health ins, car, home, and school loans, not to mention my phone bill for a mere $250/month extra.
Might be a little offtopic but IIRC, didnt some people make Commodore 64 programs that would actually cause the 1541 disk drive to make music by scratching the disk and banging the heads? or am i smoking crack?
An Ephiphany I've had...and compelled to brag...;)

Merry Christmas

· Score: 1
I've been thinking lately that I don't get as excited when Christmas came as i used to be when i was a little kid (I'm 22 now, maybe i'm just old and planning when my future kids will wake me up at 6am.:)
I'm not a Grinch about Christmas, (although I could do without the hassles of Christmas shopping..but who couldn't?;)
But I love it when i actually get the people I love WHAT THEY WANT:D
Okay, enough philosophy...time to brag:D
i got....
to go to the KROQ almost accoustic Xmas (kick ass show:D )
a $50 Tower Records Gift Card
a $50 Hot Topic gift certificate
a $5 In-N-Out Gift Certificate
some colonge
The Akira DVD set
A motion-activated 18" Ash (from Army of Darkness)
And some nice booze;)
IIRC, I believe Slackware is a distribution that uses/opt generally for KDE and "optional packages" as noted here
I'm not certain if other distros have/opt created on the top of my mind, but i'm pretty sure slackware does.
What can i say without sounding redundant?
I am very impressed with the new features of the new system Slashdot is using...I'm already experiencing better response and load times.
What impresses me most is better interactivity
potentials with other/. users courtesy of the Journals, and Friends Lists:D
However, what would REALLY kick ass is an ability to change the color scheme of the site, i'll give you guys time;)
I'm not quite sure if this is what you're looking for, but you can try Game Music.com for some video game soundtracks. They have your typical Final Fantasy series, and well pretty much any music from Squaresoft
games.:)
They also seem to have non-RPG games soundtracks too.
Damn! Only a slashdotted site has a higher latency than that!:>

KDE 2.2 Released

Call this redundant, but the purpose of multiple rpm packages is for flexiblity purposes. I mean, if they found a security exploit for a small component, would you really want to download a WHOLE new KDE package?
Now that is has been discovered that porn comes in even clearer and sharper with kde 2.2, there's going to be a HELLOVA lot more people downloading KDE now:)
Seriously, kudos to you KDE Developers!
BTW: I never stress about the gooey keyboards... i have a ton in the back... i change then every few hours;)
Either that, or he had xbill changed into XJobs ;)

But that's just my disposition...
will we finally stop saying "Can you hear me now? Good!"?
Damn!! They must've uncapped a LOT of bandwidth to get The ENTIRE Internet! ;)
It happened to Fry in Futurama when he turned out to be his own grandfather during the Roswell situation ;)
Hope they mention "DO NOT EAT" in regards to the silica packets ;)
Phase 1: Create/Manufacture Product
Phase 2: ???
Phase 3: Profit!!

"Keep foreign objects away from the spinning cd....yes that includes your crotch, numbnuts!"
I just hope no one breaks the thing open and tries to insert a NES cartridge in an ISA slot ;)
I have suspicions that some people dont even realize they have these said cron jobs still running

THANKS AGAIN SLASHDOT for the fun! :D

Actually, if you're really into the music from the Nintendo, Super Nintendo and other old console games, you really should check out Zophar's Domain.
You can download music rips from the actual games and download special players (many come in the form of a Winamp or even an XMMS plug-in :)
Oh suuuuure!! mark everyone ELSE as funny and me as a troll!
Oh wait a minute, i DID troll...my bad :)
Wouldn't it funny and ironic if we modded this guy's post as funny? :)
