Now that they have conquered the tricky sodium to magnesium problem, they can begin work on the classic lead to gold problem. We must annex Canada (no, its not a state yet despite what most Americans think) before its too late!
Make press releases. Submit papers to several different journals. Put it on different websites. Hand it out on flyers at the mall. Make sure that it becomes widely available before it can be caught and hidden by a small group. While there is some downside, it doesn't compare to having the solution be in the hands of a small group.
If the hardware resides in my house, there will always be a fix. It may require paperclip jumpers and sacrificing chickens, but there will be a way to access data that is in memory or in some form on the computer.

The most suspect part of the article is the fact that he gets to keep 85% of the company! People this big don't invest in small (+5mil) chunks. I was involved in a (failed) startup, and learned quickly that if you don't ask for 10mil +, they are not even going to return your phone calls. So what is the company/product valued at? Since all of those names will want part of they payout, they'll all be putting money in. Five, ten, fifteen million a percent?
So either in the next couple of days all of these people will be issuing denials that they are associated and that they never made such comments, OR, this is the biggest thing since they forgot to patent sliced bread
How many chips made it to market that couldn't divide correctly? And this is a situation where it actually matter, as a mostly closed air lock just doesn't cut it.
How much oxygen do we have left?
About two hours.
Two hours?
Actually about 5 minutes, the computer rounded up.
Watch out for PacBell. The only thing they've done well is when I've finally gotten a manager on the line they take away the stupid charges.
I got PacBell DSL last Feb, after a 4 week delay between ordering and installation. After 3 weeks of arguing over how much I should pay for installation fees (I ordered 2 days before their national campain of free install $40/month) everything got cleared up in my favor. Service was ok, I'd get dropped twice a week but could just power cycle the modem to reconnect (a common problem according to phone tech).
The next difficulty was when I moved 3 miles. I was keeping the same phone number, and asked them if they could just move my DSL connection, without a cancelation and re-installation fee. They claimed it would be no problem, and cost me nothing. I would still have to pay for the time in between the move but it should only be a week or two. This was end of June.
A month later, after calling every other day and a list of excuses 3 miles long, I was told that they could not do any installs in July due to a merger (or something like that) their parent company (SBC I think) was going through. They told me this after a month of lying to me that there were simple problems and they would be out in a day or two to get it hooked up.
This is where it gets really good. They then tell me, Aug. 2nd, that all of the ports in the local station are full, and they need to install more hardware to support more connections. Now I don't know how many connections they made on Aug. 1st, but I don't think it would have been a lot. They were now going to suspend my service, and renew it when they had room for me again. This was utter crap! After informing them of my opinion, I told them to just cancel me. They then sent me a bill that charged me for both July and August (cause I had it for 3 days in August), a $200 early cancelation fee, and a $200 dollar fee for the modem, which I wouldn't have to pay if I brought their hardware to the local office.
Fortunately the managers are competent enough to remove bogus fees, and I ended up getting all of the charges removed. I didn't even have to take the modem back, told them that they could pay a tech $50/hr to drive out and get it from me if it was really that important.
After all that, called RoadRunner and had it installed and running in under a week, and have had no performance issues at all. I'm not sure that PacBell is a company that actively tries to screw people. I think they're just so inept that they can't help it. This all happened in the San Fernando Valley in SoCal, your PacBell might not be so nice.
There is a difference between the government ruling on what content can be served and viewed on your own computer and content that can be viewed in a public area on public computers. To have a functioning society everyone has to sacrifice. The extremes end up sacrificing more than the average. The extremely religious end up sacrificing because it almost kills them that porn even exists. The other extreme, as evidenced on slashdot a lot, ends up sacrificing the opportunity to access all information everywhere whenever they want to.
I'm not sure I'd even classify this as censorship. They are doing nothing that prevents the information from existing or being accessed. You still have the right to access the information. I don't think that "Anything Goes" is a good motto for public accessing of information. I also probably won't agree with all of the regulations they come up with. All public policy pisses off someone, but when it actually pisses off the masses, it usually gets changed.
I used to think the games section had the worst color scheme.
I am sad that I was wrong.
Could someone explain what the law means?

Judging from most of the women who were at the midnight showing last night, serious injury and even death is definately preferable to sex.

All the stores I've been in tend to get pissed off if you ignore the purchasing part of the experience.

Slashdot researched a submission! Beware, the anti-christ may rise soon!
