Of course they judged the books first by their cover. We do it with books, with the people we meet, with stores at the mall and around town!
We need to do that. It helps us decide whether we want to pursure things further or move on to the next thing. Otherwise we would have to fully investigate everything.
Does it work 100%? No, but it works well enough that nobody is going to stop doing it.
We the UN Declare on this day in the of 2000 that the wealth of the U.S. needs to be diverted from them to all of the poor countries that make up US! That way it appears that it stayed with the U.S. but actually went to US.
The only way many of them will ever escape thier plight is to kill off the corrupt leaders who siphon any money they get from the UN and then quit accepting the bribes given to them by the UN.
We here in the US have learned if you place a family on Welfare, they and thier children and thier childrens children remain on welfare. Generations enslaved, never being able to get off of welfare. We fortunately are waking up and now getting them off of welfare and making them productive.
Lets work hard not to allow the UN do the same with entire countries!

Don't you know that inflation is simply when the goverment borrows lots of money which lets the banks print more money (because they have more 'assets' now) which puts more money into the system and prices in the market rise to make up for the it because they're value stayed the same while the value of the money shrank because there was more of it about.
An easy tax to place on the citizens without them knowing it. Just proves you and I may be smart but people are stupid.
I understand Yalls sentiments. I'm as much a geek as the next guy. I'm a S/W Engineer for my company where we all get to wear T-shirts and jeans and such... most of the time! I promise you though, the moment it comes to having to interface with customers, we ALL have to dress proper, and rightfully so!
Like it or not, in this world there is a level of expectations and if you ever want to move up (pay or otherwise) you do need to conform at least some. The more professional I look and act, the more professional people will consider me. What else do they have to go by? My abilities? Hell no. I can be a great programmer, but If I act imature or don't play well together with my coworkers ei. a loner I'm of limited use to the company. Some projects take multiple people to work on them, all of them presenting ideas and working close. Behavior and showers go along ways to making it work!
In the end, if I can not even present myself in a professional manner by my word dress and deeds, then I really will not be able to function at my job.
As always, this is a rule and there are exceptions but I'm betting they are few.
If you have to use MS autoformat, then you lost the battle on step 1! I have yet to click on autoformat and have produce any document suitable for use.
Maybe this will work for the simplest of documents, but not for anything mre complex than a letter home to mom.
In a far reaching manuever, the UN has voted to ban CO2 emmisions from all sources. Scientists have been given 5 years to find a replacement gas for exhalation by humans and other living creatures.
Dr. Ivan Onlyinhale says this should not be to much of a problem. "If nothing else, the sanctions that will be imposed if we don't find a replacement gas for exhalation will solve our population explosion".
There are few countries in the industrial world who has not done behaved the same way in one fasion or another. In capitalism, laws generaly come about when there is the econimic pressure to make them happen. In some countries this happened sooner than others.
This is not to condone the practice, only explain it.
I have a small business and write many of my applications because that way they fit my needs exactly. I also buy some and use open source applications as well.
Will small businesses which write their own apps be able to run them along with MS apps or other comercial apps without having to jump through hoops to get a certificate proving that the code we write ourselves is trustworthy?
If you ever noticed, the most henious of the windows problems come from not having a clear line between data and process. The exceptions to this are code red and nimbda, which could happen to any of the OS's.
All of the worms and viruses live on because you can embed code into and document. Have an html document, add javascript or VB Script. Same with Word, Excel, emails etc.
The concept of code and information being the same thing sounds like a dandy idea and solution to all of life's problems, but, as long as you can mix code in with a document, you will have worms and trojans coming out of the wood work.

I was going by the fact that peaches make arsenic and baby diaper make ammonia. Bother are by products of organic processes.
