The attack seems to have been a well thought-out plan that took a number of years to orchestrate and took our nation by surprise. Retaliation for the sake of retaliation does not achieve our goals of setting back terrorism decades. That is why we are taking our time. There is nothing gained by rushing an attack, and as our nation investigates what and who is responsible we are able to get a better picture of who should be at the receiving end of our billion dollar explosions. Furthermore, by gaining global support in our efforts to retaliate against teh monstors that did this to our nation, we're aligning our nation with nations whose relations may have been strained in the past by coming together around the common belief that terrorism will not be tolerated. Attacking a hidden enemy on our own does not allow us to advance this country's global relations that are crucial to this world's future.
Regarding the volunteers... it's not a union/non-union issue. Volunteers are being turned away because the number of people that came out to volunteer was so high. I live in NY and the lines of people willing to help were hours long. Many of them were given tasks to achieve... everything from setting up barriers around the city to holding the hand of somebody that needed somebody to talk to, but it's understandable that not everybody can be at ground-zero... a very dangerous and unstable mess of metal, wires, fire, and death.
To abandon the flag, and the beliefs of our nation because we're proceeding with both caution and prudence is a terrible shame... but I believe that the restraint that has been shown over the past week will turn out to be the wisest decision this administration has made to date.
Well get off/. and get to work!
Thanks very much to Sprint, and all of the other companies and individuals that have contributed to this cause. I've got a couple friends that made it out alive, and a couple friends-of-friends that are still missing, so I'm very appreciative for everybody's contributions.

Taken from CNN:
"Officials in southwestern Pennsylvania said they have identified and cordoned off a second debris site about 2 to 6 miles away from the crash site of United Flight 93, the fourth hijacked plane in Tuesday's terror attack. Cell phone calls from passengers aboard the plane indicated the hijackers may have had a bomb and also that they were planning to try to retake the plane from the terrorists."
Yeah, but when it comes down to it... Microsoft will be losing money on the XBOX hardware, and only making that money back on the software. That's why they promote bundling... to offset some of that initial loss right up-front.
A button that allows for one-press fast-forward in increments of 15 or 30 seconds would do the trick for most people. Hit that a couple times, and you're right back into the action.
I think there was an implied "or" between the three options. The idea was that all three locations would have a fat pipe from which you could feed off of.
All my little Hulkamaniacs... watch me move my knight into position to storm the castle... Oooh yeah! Whatcha gonna do when my 24" pythons run wild on your queen?
Seriously... imagine what roid-rage could do to this "sport"... Personally, my vote is to get "Risk" added as an olympic sport. What board-game could be more international? Our first competitors cold be Kramer and Neuman.
an example of great branding, lousy product. Sort of like Britteny Spears.
That's the most innacurate thing I've read all day... first of all, because it's spelled wrong... (beware typoes holds true)... but also because the "product" of Britney Spears is a success because it appeals to many different people (and age groups) for many different reasons. Little girls want to be her, dirty old men want to have her, teenage boys wank it to her, and flaming guys want to dance like her. Who's not happy?
The Wonder Swan has almost as bad a name as Game Cube or Dreamcast. I mean, I realize that the name of the thing probably sounds like Klink Klank Klong in the native tongue, but Wonder Swan? Come on...
I actually heard this scientist interviewed on the Ron and Fez radio show on WNEW. It seems like an interesting idea, but the one thing the scientist stressed was that as humans become accustomed to the sound, they'll be less likely to turn their heads as a response so the viability of this may be very short-lived.
Aside from that, it was described as a primal response invoked as a survival reaction tracing back to when we lived in the sticks and swung from tree. Personally I think she's been watching too many previews for Planet of the Apes.
Where else are they going to learn how to strafe-jump while reloading their M4 and taking out the enemy positioned in an elevated position? Well, aside from high-school that is...
Actually, I'd say the stock market over the past year has been a pretty good example of some people NOT getting what they payed for. Take a look at Salon.com (SALN). Over the course of about a year, you could buy a share for about $15.00, and on Friday you could buy a share for 15 cents. I'd argue that the company hasn't changed so much over those twelve months to hit such a range.
If you're actually a lawyer... I'd suggest that maybe your best argument might not be some overused cliche. It doesn't really make for a very convincing closing statement.
I think what made Dragon's Lair ahead of its time is that it managed to get thousands of little boys to pump quarters into a game that would kill you within seconds, while still convincing you that you should reach for another quarter. I don't think I ever got past the first screen, but I could feed a small nation with the change that I poured into this thing.
TechTV tries really hard, but the teleprompter reading drones they've got in front of their cameras are hardly the people I want to rely on for meaningful technical information.

The option "100% Accurate" wasn't available.

Try telling that to Alanis ... she managed to sell a shitload of albums her misuse of ironic.
You sure are a confused one, aren't you?

I disagree
... not really ... I just figured somebody should.
Well

They can't make any money on the movies ... not to mention even make a good movie ... so instead they sue the consumer into oblivion.
Why not just sue MP3.com ... It seems to work for most other complaints.

It's a classic case of, if you can't beat em ... join em.

Maybe Salon.com should heed this guy's advice considering they've been going through being delisted from the NASDAQ lately.
Yeah ... But then again, you live in Finland.
Just tell them each mistake they make takes one year off of their life...

They should've locked the guy in the room with the magazines, the postcards, and nothing to write with.
