the throne is hardly the main attraction. having it on one's lap in the living room during the simpsons so you can check the accuracy of snpp's episode summaries is what god and steve jobs intended.
livemotion does not export to svg. that was dropped from livemotion 2. and it exports to the flash file format, not just flash-compatible. macromedia semi-open sourced the file format (swf).
that wired article was originally in the magazine two months ago, and, at the time, certainly did offer some piece of mind.
unfortunately, there was an article in wired news this week (also covered in the la times -- can't find wired's) talking about america's losing ground to other nations such as china and india in the satellite advantage rate.
i always wonder if, when an article is submitted by an AC, the person works for the company that is behaving badly. if so, kudos to them for doing what's right.
one of the most revolutionary things about the sims is that a second version has not been important for so long -- that they can add more and more to the game with simple expansion packs that are relatively simple to create but hugely profitable.
it will be interesting to see where this model continues to go -- release a fairly simple but intricate and engaging first version and add to it continuously, for a fee.
i have an epson stylus photo 780 and the drivers are readily available at epson.com. they are the only company of all of the peripherals i own with an accurate mac os x info page. not to mention the fact that epson rolls drivers for many of their printers into mac os installs and updates. it seems like a good, simple way to do it.
if you are an american writing the above, get over yourself. 'I was just having a discussion w/someone last night about how unfree we are.' compared to what? owning your own island in the pacific? the democratic republic of the congo?
i went through the 'america is imperialistic and big brotherly' in high school too. now i am mature enough to realize that, despite the horrible influence of money on politics, america is as free as you get. can it be freer? sure. anything could be. but bitching and moaning about how you aren't free because you can't copy copyrighted movies is callous and ignorant.
move to china, liberate it, and then post to slashdot. i'll be more receptive.
it is interesting that, as noted in the newsbytes articles, the scale of the assault was far greater than might have been expected given the 'crimes'. why do you need fbi, police, etc. in such large numbers to take down a cracker?
i think this raid speaks either to the hold that business has on our (usian) law enforcement agencies or to the fact that he truly was being targetted for his viewpoints as well.

you fail to differentiate between the flash format and the Flash application. adobe's LiveMotion app exports to the flash file format.
here in the south bay, the 'make thousands from home' people appear to be paying people to put up thousands of 'lose 30 pounds in 30 days' signs.
now those are a mystery.

well, that pax americana sure was fun, eh?
Some people take entertainment way to seriously.
one of the main points of the article is that mr. lucas falls into that category.
um, any way to to block stories from the 'please-kiss-this-man' department? it's not really my lifestyle choice.
i'm not sure you know what a 'commie' is.
it would have made the creation of my random google searcher a bit easier, and faster.

it's about time that china found a good way to rapidly increase its population.
and for that matter to, in one stroke, increase their citizen's longevity.
it's called svg (scalable vector graphics).
actually, the word is 'chagrined'.

... why it was called ricochet! *rim shot*
(now the only mystery is those spy ads they had....)
i always want to make time to hear what high school students think of cheerleaders. our friend marty certainly chose the road less traveled by.
taco: i think amazon carries barry white cds. hint hint.
the scariest thing about this is that windows ships with snmp off by default, making it (at least at first) immune. what are the odds?
why do they always have to say "it's been awhile" at the start of these things?
either publish slashback regularly, or skip saying that. foo.
i was a twinkle in my father's eye.
