Should I read your reply as a tacit approval of the indefinite detention, torture and murder of prisoners without trial, or just a desire to ignore important issues and split hairs?
A school should prepare a person to think. If you come out of school not being able to figure out how to use MS Office programs, you shouldn't be using a computer.
The lazy corporate media in the U.S. is cowed by the government and less interested in investigation than it is in investigating whose cocktail parties they're getting to attend. Many bloggers have worked hard to get to the bottom of real stories. Unfortunately, many others have simply spread lies and FUD.
Oh, that makes total sense. Iraq said it had weapons to intimidate its neighbor, and our President and his "advisors" decided to take their word for it!
I'm a practicing Catholic as well, and I don't see what Giuliani had a problem with. Then again, I never cheated on my wife, so I never had the opportunity to bring my mistress to my home.

While voting machines have the ABILITY for a receipt, the state of Florida has not REQUIRED manufacturers to produce receipts for the votes. Instead, they chose to CHANGE STATE LAW that required the ability to perform a recount. And you believe that this is a benign change?
Voting is not about convenience. It's not a commercial endeavor. It's the way that we are supposed to be able to select our government. The overwhelming motivations should be accuracy and security. Throwing millions of dollars at proprietary systems that have demonstrated numerous flaws is more than foolish; it's dangerous.
