I worked yesterday at the polls in New York. We had ImageCast paper-ballot optical-scan machines from Sequoia with ballot-marking devices attached for disabled voters. These gave all voters the ability to mark ballots privately.
Any infraction, real or perceived, will be used against him. Ask Don Siegelman, who was railroaded to prison on trumped-up charges and is being denied an appeal because his case hasn't been transcribed (for a year).

Oh, absolutely. Lawyers themselves should be outlawed. That way, nobody would ever be able to have the assistance of a learned professional when it came to petitioning the government for a redress of grievances.
