If you're fat, you like things that are LOW in something (low fat, low sodium, low cal)...makes you feel better about being a fat pig...like you're doing something about it. It's about the same for gay men and luxurious vacations and Prada. Sorry, but I prefer working for males. I've worked for four different females now and have found them to be (overall) more irrational, moody, prone to favoritism, political and literally gossip mongering. Sorry if it's politically incorrect and sexist, but that really has been my personal experience. At first, I welcomed the idea of a female boss, thinking just what this story asserts...that she'd be more democratic and egalitarian, but that's just not been my experience. However, being a scientific person at heart, I'll go with the study over my own acecdotal experience and say...'uh sure...they make great bosses'. *wince*

I don't understand why this story is even news, because I could swear I read as a kid, all these places to find negative ions...waterfalls, forests, the water-pump style air conditioner on the roof of our house back then...Rain..lol, Even when I'd water the pines in our yard and spray the water up into the needles, it felt amazing to be around it as the wind would blow through. Instead of corporations just knowing about externalities and having to think about them from the perspective of PR, let them have to consider them from a legal exposure perspective. A lot of publicly almost unknown corporations don't care a whole lot about PR, so they're really running amok. Personally, I'd prefer to take a natural version of pretty much anything. Must stem from my (highly justified) distrust of the pharmaceutical industry.

I could site example after example where the government happens to side with health and safety *when it lines up with business interest*, but I could also site example after example of the government siding with business when it actually harms 'health and safety'. So, the logical conclusion is that health and safety are never the prime interest, business interest is the prime motivation and if it happens to grant 'health and safety' that's nice, but if it doesn't, too fucking bad. Business rules, just like it always has.
