Look if for example the Europians develop some software or hardware and they cant sell in the US see if i care like Europe and Asia isnt big enough to sell those products.
But there is something worse for the US even, if we in the other parts of the world create Open Source or other stuff they would like to get there hands on like new technique's and stuff then they will have a problem, cause there law wont allow it (and we wont have the cash or the licence to make it legal again =), prolly they will steal it anyways.
Now i wonder why i said that stuff, they should accept that LAW and notice how bad it is for them.

I dont liked to be mailed, but since i get pretty important mail when i get it it has to be read instant, i tell everyone not to send me jokes, pictures etc.. I am very bad at concetrating, i lose it very fast, but its very important when doing certain work, so when i get mail i read it when its spam it gets me not very relaxed cause i dislike spam then i try to think of a way to not get it again from the same person/company then i am not concentrated anymore, getting the concentration back can take a while. That time costs money.
And i say 25$ isnt that much. But yes i could get a seperate mailbox for this stuff, but then why should i ? why do people send me spam, why cant i just use one mailbox for all my stuff, why o why. damn it =D
I went over this with a guy from work, and he said installing service pack 6a would install atleast 3a or plus (maybe 4 or something) so you could download a new version.
But yes this is an example of irony. i love it! =D
if you install Windows NT 4 with service pack 3, which i still have floating around in sealed packs then you would have noticed that it include's a Internet Explorer version 2.x with which you cant connect to neither www.microsoft.com or windowsupdate.microsoft.com to upgrade it to a later version you will first have to install some new version of IE from somewhere have fun;), the reason you cant connect is that you get some ASP error, although i dont understand that cause its server side not ?
If people force me to use windows, then please let it be NT 4.0 its the best windows around if you ask me.
I havent read the story but never the less i had to respond, a database like filesystem sounds great, but now a filesystem isnt more then some bits ordered in a simple way with a small index of it ( maybe it bit more complicated but its the idea that counts ) now if you add a real database doesnt that mean you need a process running to keep that data in a nice order ? doesnt that mean that it should be stable ? i mean ever hear of a harddisk crash, corrupt file ? i mean what happends if your file system sql server crashes ? it restart and works tru its logs and is up in five minutes ? so you can continue your work ? isnt this making things over complicated ?
Why not make an external database program that index's the whole drive which in you hook programs like search and stuff, bit like locate on *nix, but then 100% updated all the time:) but dont put it into the core..

I just bought an old Indigo2 with a 250MHZ R4400 MIPS CPU with 160MB MEM , 2 SCSI-2 Disks and a High Impact Video Card.
And yes it runs IRIX 6.2 and i am playing with Blender on it and it runs like an charm.
I Compiled this box out of 3 Indigo2's and took
the best parts and i dont really think its slow for the time it was created and i even think IRIX is pretty oke in speed running X, Netscape even starts faster then on my Linux box which is a AMDK62/550 with 256MB MEM and IDE Disks. (starts in about 5 seconds on my SGI. Prolly the SCSI disks being faster here though)
I find them everyday on IRC though, so why not in a Computer game.
On IRC they can do 'pretend i am 18 year old really hot girl' but you read tru 14 year olds who try to pretend. Never the less i met Really nice people and also girls in bars while playing UO and also on IRC so why not in this game ?
But i was trying to make a joke, and i see i failed again;)
Too see if you also want to do those things IRL, maybe i could check if it works to say to a girl "Wanna Fuck?" in a virtual bar first. Instead of gettings slapped in the face IRL ?

Correct me if i am wrong, but isnt the framebuffer just a buffer ? that gets send to the videocard in a sertain way ?, yeah oke its a Grapical Function/Feature, but not a GUI ( Grapical User Interface ). Its just a layer to put an GUI interface on, Xft adjusts only the GUI interface not ? The framebuffer hasnt got functions to display text i hope, but i could be wrong...

I am not sure how old it is, but the casing has a year round year marker on it with a dash at the 95, but i think it has been upgraded later on.
It was from a closed company sale and very cheap.
So i dont mind how old it is, i am happy with it.
