doubt it. insurance companies do it. They call it "multi-car discount". So what you get it "Multi-service discount". Like it or not, that's perfectly legal.
uhh ya it is true. I called every month to cancel and they kept extending me saying "what if we gave you next month for $19.99?". I just gave my reason for cancelling as "too expensive" every time. I had it for $19.99 for a year.
One of the guys in my church (pastors son actually) just got back from Iraq. He's in airborne (helicopter mechanic). One of the things he said was that airborne is way better than infantry because if you need something, you go pick it up. They were stationed about 30 miles north of Baghdad and they flew to Kuwait to pick up their satellite internet equipment that someone had ordered. They were emailing like crazy once that thing was installed.
Correct on both points. I guess if he's already checked out the solutions I mentioned (the asker didn't say) then really, their option is to become their own CLEC if they want to compete in that market. That would really suck though. Having to manage your own DSLAM's on top of everything else?
I'd actually just call covad and have them do your DSL for you. It will save you the headache of becoming your own phone company. It's not like providing DSL service is all that hard either. You can have that setup through your phone company. There's no reason to go off and be your own CLEC when your local phone company should be able to provide DSL to your customers.
Look at it this way. Earthlink DSL == Covad
MSN DSL == Qwest (at least here)
I would take the covad route though. It will mean you will have to setup a redback server to take care of the authentication, but it really saves a lot of headaches.
Maybe redundant maybe not but I use tick.usno.navy.mil and tock.usno.navy.mil. The US Navy is the official time keepers of the military and therefore all things are sync'd with them and in turn these public servers. That includes GPS. Doesn't get much more accurate than that.
As an aside I don't see what the big deal is. The public pool has been around for how long? It's been the default in Mandrake since 9.0-ish(?).
I think I need some pills also, I thought the article said that a drop of human blood was what silenced the fans. Maybe I jsut need sleep, but I'd prefer pills;-).
Thanks for that I tried to do some research before posting, but couldn't find it anywhere. So what would be your guesstimate of how long it would take a standard 1G (we'll pretend 1G is standard) to process 1 frame? (obviously it depends of software used to render, just pick one:-)
I agree that it would be cool, but the difference is that seti uses files that are a few hundredK and it takes my barton core processor 3+ hours per file (typical is 6 hours according to the seti page). Why on earth would they want to let the frames from Shrek get out onto the net where rampant piracy and trading would ensue, just so your computer could turn in a frame a week? I'm not sure of the resolution of each frame, but looking at the eyebrows on Shrek it's got to be pretty high.
I was wondering that too. The article says they had to trace the call to see where it came from the fact they say "conversation with a friend" is obviously exaggerrated because the friend didn't even know who was on the phone.
With debian its even easier to install things with apt-get.
how is it easier to type 'apt-get install gnome' (as an example) over 'urpmi gnome'? It's just as easy. A little less typing the urpmi way. The cool thing with urpmi is rpm's are already compatible with it. urpmi checks the dependencies and then downloads those also.
nooooo! I hadn't finished downloading it, great, there goes my downlaod speeds. Hey people! the swedish mirror is the fastest one! Go download from them, er I mean from here.
I'm sorry, but unless the kid is retarded or something, he knows the difference between right and wrong, at least when it comes to blowing people up and stuff.
True, at least partially. It may seem that smaller issues (things other than blowing people up) may have the appearance of being endorsed by the parent to the child if things are viewed without making a big deal about them or not letting them see it at all.
Example: I bought viewtiful Joe, it has a "kids" setting. Great! I can play it with my kids! uh oh, all the billboards have naked ladies on them, even in the kids setting. Looks like that's only for use after the kids go to bed.
where's php?
print "hello world";

not quite, comcast will give you $19.99/mo if you call every month to cancel. :-)
how could he tell what order they were pressed?
ziss zounds quite intellestink.
no kidding!
Since I'm subscribed to the mailing list I've gotten to read all about it for the last couple days. Here's a link to the mailing list archive....here
A page to actually read more on this is here.

Nope, I'm sure you'll find prior art buried somewhere in here.

Or make the screensaver or shutdown sound say "would the last one out please turn out the lights?" save that one for your last day.
I know, I felt betrayed by rodimus. :-(
You are not special. You do not get to be an exception to the rules.
:-)
I'm not, I'm following them. You can too!
I actually have an server that checks tick & tock, and then all the rest of the servers check that server. Not much load on them.

MandrakeMove is what you're looking for. You can even use a USB key to save files on. http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en/ftp.php3#move --Bryan
