    Do you have a list of URLs that cause these rendering & stability problems? I can't fix them, but it would be interesting to see what others are running into. I used it for a few hours last night and didn't encounter any sort of problem. It didn't automatically import my Firefox bookmarks like their web page said it would, but it worked ok manually.

    both will probably be implemented by a wrapper around skeleton-insert. I've written some things that would be considered simple 'wizards' using it and if I can do it, there's probably even more advanced stuff available.

    By default, I have all F1-F12 along with the shifted, control, and control+shift combinations mapped to different emacs operations I use every day. Looks like I'll have to remap that functionality to my existing layout.

    It's not difficult to find free software solutions for MacOS X. Apple provides a nice categorized list on their site and there is a menu link to go right to it on the Apple menu.

    What sensor would be the most likely candidate for what this guy is claming? I've read thst some researchers have used SAR & other things to find ancient trade routes buried under meters of sand. I've been away from the remote sensing community to even know what the current sensor packages are even capable of.

    Every chance I get. However, the govt's position is going to be that even though some people are capable of safely operating their vehicle at those speeds, the majority of others are not and endanger the lives of their fellow citizens due to their own irresponsibility. Unfortunately, there are countless laws that are a result of too many jackassses' inability to control their own behavior.

    That is why I have my window blinds shut 24/7. It's pretty damn simple. If you don't want someone observing the inside of your house, either by just walking down the sidewalk, or via the Google product, close the curtains/blinds/shutters/whatever.

    I haven't used a Zen, but my Creative Nomad3 requires their software in order to load or retrieve files from it (I use the WAV recording feature to record bands). I hate it, but the firewire interface allows for speedy transfers (the 3rd party software that I've found only works with the USB 1.1 interface).

    A refurb ipod shuffle is only $49 and a refurb 2G nano is $109. Would that be affordable enough for your occasional music needs?

    The person could be using a browser that doesn't have that capability and doesn't want to upgrade.

    Assault weapons aren't considered "high powered rifles". The rounds that they fire are less powerful than what was used in previous generations of battle rifles (.30-06/.303/.308/8mm Mauser, etc) in order to allow the soldier to fire rapid accurate follow-up shots and to provide a more controlable weapon when using it in full-auto/burst mode. You are correct in that they are still significantly more powerful than most ammo used in pistols.

    According to this page http://www.sturmanindustries.com/main/hydraulicVal veActuation.htm, it's 11 year old technology. Recirculating exhaust gases into the intake to cut down on emissions also isn't new, so I'm wondering what it is that these guys have done that's so important. Or is this like the MIT guys finally 'discovering' alcohol injection?

    If the standard maxes out at 43Mb in the US, why are we stuck with 6Mb plans? If Comcast wanted to make its customers happy, they would remove the restrictions on what's currently in place.

    Let us know how that works out for you. It hasn't for me and doing the same sort of stuff that you do for work for something to do in your spare time gets old after a while. You then find something better to do with your boredom.

    I agree. It doesn't take much effort to find out the facts, but it's easier to sit back and let the idiot box tell you how to think based on emotions. Did anyone on the program tell the anti-gun person that they were wrong on both counts?

    It has a positive effect if a woman can use one to defend herself from a rapist or someone who wants to help the environment by culling some 'free range pork'. Don't be so quick to dismiss them as useless just because you don't like them. Outlawing handguns certainly hasn't made the UK any safer. It actually did the opposite.

    There are millions of people that fit in those categories, so if that wasn't true, there would be so many daily school shootings, they would be covered like the traffic reports on the radio: we have shootings at Kingsbury, South Park, and Harding Junior Academy today in addition to the three car pileup at Elm and 5th.     If ebay had to appologize and express regret every time something bought off their site had something to do with a crime, they'd have to hire several fulltime professional applogists. Come on. They're a damn auction site. Let them concentrate on cracking down on the sellers who don't deliver the items described in the auction.

    The problem was that mental health people in VA didn't forward that information on so he would have been rejected during the background check. But as far as what he was buying, lots of law abiding citizens purchase these sorts of accessories off the internet and don't do anything more than punch little holes in paper at a gun range. I've even bought something from oneclickshooting via ebay. The prices weren't bad, didn't gouge me on shipping, and the merchandise arrived within a week. I've never bought a firearms via the internet usually because the shipping and the transfer fee the local dealers charge eliminate any price advantage. I'd still have to fill out the background check form, get fingerprinted, and wait for the approval to come back.
