Isn't there an episode where Fry downloads Lucy Liu to essentially "print" onto his date-robot?

We, as a culture, have elevated football to almost god-hood, and when High-school footballers raped a drunk girl, an entire town CONSPIRED to cover the whole thing up, until some "nerds" hacked the phones of the footballers for evidence and made national news, and the town couldn't hide it anymore.

Excuse me, but 99 times out of 100 it's the nerds who keep to themselves and don't harm a fly, while with Jocks you can turn that number on its head. 99 times out 100 they will beat up, rape, and basically do whatever they hell they feel like.

Stop taking this one incident and applying it to nerd culture. You might as well be taking this one incident and applying it to all gun culture or all american culture.

Outside of the USA, I've driven in Curacao -- once you're off the main road, it's nothing but a dusty trail that leads to communities of poor living in shacks. There are roads in the USA that are inaccessible to anything other than a lifted, 4-wheel drive vehicle.

And I've driven places where there's no road, you're essentially making your own path, and hoping you don't tear anything critical off the vehicle as you crush vegetation beneath you.

In the USA southwest, there's no actual road, you're just tooling around in a buggy as you climb rocks and hop over sand dunes in the desert.

Fine, you've got an autonomous car -- but it's incapable of going everywhere some other vehicles do.

  9. I'm with you, however..... on AT&T Hacker 'weev' Demands One Bitcoin For Each Hour He Spent In Jail · · Score: 1

Please help me out here. I'm all for moving power *away* from DC to more accountable localities, but can you kindly fill me in on the methodology?

You see; I'm of the opinion that the government, particularly the federal government, has become so corrupted, so full of bad political influence by monied interests, so controlled by cash (particularly in light of Citizens United and other rulings that claim that money==speech), that the only way I can see to bring the country back to rationality is via armed conflict.

And then many people, including, unfortunately, innocent bystanders will be killed -- and it's also unfortunate to realize that our own country and armed forces kill innocent bystanders regularly -- in other countries, and yet, my guess is that you're *not* willing to consider our armed forces as the same pieces of shit McVeigh was.

Please understand me; I'm *not* attempting to defend McVeigh, I am just pointing out that when it's done by "one guy", it's terrorism, and when it's done by an institution, it's Foreign Policy.

Drone Strikes have allowed America to kill entire parties of people, including women and children, with impunity, with no answerable oversight, with no reporting by the media, and with no outrage from the American people. We, as a country, are guilty of murder a million times over, and yet we regard McVeigh as the monster.

So, please, let me know what you're proposing; I'm ready to listen. I'm hoping for a convincing argument that we are not already lost as a country; because right now the 1% run things, and we have zero say in the matter. America is a schoolyard bully, and we have a long way to go before maturing into a responsible world citizen.

They are going to have to start forcing gas stations to carry hydrogen as well, the way some places carry diesel and kerosene, but that's not *their* problem, is it?

The advantage to hydrogen is that they can still continue to make cars "as is" -- hell, they can even make hybrids too, a Hydrogen Electric Prius is sure to be in the future, without changing much about their existing factories.

I for one, do not want to be in car like that after the electrical system has failed, and you can't even open the damn doors without electricity.

I want a car that I can push start if needed. In fact, the less "electrical" anything there is in a car, the less there is to go wrong.

When you go to a car show, I see a lot of cars from the 50's and 60's -- and you know what I'll see 30 years from now -- the same cars! You won't see "modern cars" sold as classics 30 years from now because once the computer in those cars dies, the car is a paperweight. Nothing works. The engine isn't even capable of running without all those sensors and computers.

I'm rebuilding a '69 beetle right now, and I'll tell you that there's a certain comfort in knowing that I know the entire car, bumper to bumper, there's no mystery about how it operates, and I can fix any piece of it, myself, with common hand tools.
