MS finally woke up to realize that they're being parodied. Way to go. Who knows, within a few decades they might realize what the public opinion about them is...
The first RFCs were in paper, circulated as letters, so some of the earliest ones might not have been electrified yet. You might have not seen RFC 1 for several reasons:
It was written in a lavatory and as such it should not be displayed to the public or
the local RFC collection doesn't carry it. (Yes, I have seen a copy somewhere).
Now THIS rules. I'm sick and tired of wannabe-d00dz who ask how to hack the websites - Now I can just a) thwack them with the Cluestick, b) point them to that page and c) tell them they don't need to crack the web server to be creative. If the Cracker Gods of 2600 do the impossible, Hack without Hacking, maybe the wannabed00dz believe. Ah...
PS. I'm SO disappointed I have to use MSIE and windoze at the moment... I would love to use Netscape.
Now I finally found out what they were talking about, found the site, saw it did NOT look cool, but hey, I still don't know why I'm constantly giggling when I browse throught the archive. =)
Old stuff, but still a little funny. BTW, I once thought it's not *that* funny... Unix IS becoming more politically correct (I hate PCness...) because one thing on the list has become true (and everyone thinks less(1) is better than more(1), grr.)
UltraHLE source is out? Lemmesee...::looks at the site:: No? Drats.
Just for a second I had a feeling that there *was* hope. Nah. Oh well, maybe in the future... False hope is a bad thing, please read the article first.
The shrink-wrap version of DOS Abuse was 2.0.0. However, when that came out, the linux version was, and stayed to be, 1.1.0, and was not compatible with 2.0.0 retail data (I guess). After a loooooong time, when the source code was published, we got Abuse/L 2.0.0 that worked just perfectly. Well, I guess that is it.
GIMP... what's it good for? SCRIPTING!!!

Scheme is braindead? Well, that's the Outrageous Claim of the Day...
... Scheme is a fine language for a scheming canid like me. =) Yes, it's bit confusing but it's basically a very simple, yet powerful language. Does its job.

My favorite was in one of Xach's GIMP tutorials. "How slow do you want to go today?"
Oh, we might be interested to vote for our favorite RFC.

Yesh. Just what I wanted. Now, if I only could get Slink first...

Anyway, good luck to the Slackwarez, too. After all, it was the dist I began with (but horrors if I ever have to use it again =)
Yours, ex-slackware, current debilizer,
At last a decent modeller for PoV-Ray... hope it gets ported soon.
Well, never actually liked Hexen (just another bloody Doom clone), but nice to see another game with sources out there.
"Välttämättä?" Hmm..
