Well I can get a nice clamshell case with a bluetooth keyboard built it. Tablets are not meant to replace home computers for development and large work, the Apps just are not there. However they are great for taking what you need in a small footprint.

My printer is wireless. I have an adapter for HDMI, SD cards, and USB cables, which btw I haven't used every day. I don't need a mouse with a touch screen and wireless eliminates most ports anyway

I have loaded a work app and bounced between it and my webbrowser which by the way was showing the weather an it updated in the background. I guess by multitasking you meanm you cannot have a bunch of windows open all at once of which your are using ONE AND ONLY ONE AT THIS EXACT MOMENT. Many Apps that you invoke keep background services running, that is multitasking. Don't confuse that with having many windows open.

Then to top it off with $50 or more in savings a month you start getting into the habit of looking at other expenses (monthlies) and realizing there is money to be saved everywhere, let alone time. Take that $1000 a year and put it into an IRA. You will get more from that than your cell phone could ever return.
There are two major encounters which can completely blow the film. The obvious is Smaug. I haven't seen a good dragon since Dragonslayer. The second is the spiders in the woods. I am not overly worried about the Worgs meeting on the hilltop but the Eagles may be a bit more an issue. The story in The Hobbit is more fantastic from the non humanoid side than LOTR was. So it opens itself to more chances to be bad.
As for where they break the story, probably after the Spiders and having the dwarves doing their barrel ride, else after the trolls. I am not really sure where a good break is with this book but those the two major events before getting to the Lonely Mountain.

Loss of use for the sites in question are meaningless to me. If someone stole my user name (whether site operator or not) I would incur no losses. They would first have to know what other sites I frequent but since I have nothing invested in those sites I have nothing to lose. Yes, Slashdot falls under that category to me.

Corporations pay millions to the government and victims all without admitting guilt. Bribes are a way of life, those doing them just have managed to get them under a new name, fees, penalties, and the like. The courts are as corrupt as government they are part of. Its a rich man's game and all we can do it sit and watch. They own both parties who in turn craft laws essentially legalizing the whole affair, just as long as the right pockets are lined.

The one issue I had with BluRay from day one is that too many of the distributors put required ADs for other movies on the disc which play without your intervention and do their best to prevent you from skipping them. HDDVD did not allow this, it required discs to proceed to the menu or just play. I think this one of the bigger reasons Sony used to convince the other distributors to switch to their model.

Ars Technica reviewed the Xoom and it came out sounding like another typical shipped to early product laden with buggy software. From crashing apps to an expensive tablet with many advertised features not working, one of which requires the owner to ship it back to Motorola to enable!
The market is not being helped by products like the Xoom nor Honeycomb being in the state it is. Instead of stealing the iPad2's thunder they emphasize how much more refined it is and come off instead looking like cheap knockoffs, without the cheap price.
As for their pricing, well if you can't beat the user experience of the iPad you damn well better stomp it in pricing. Which means putting models a full hundred bucks under the iPad in pricing with the same form factor. Don't let people compare them side by side and give them obvious reasons to stick with the iPad. That means a good STABLE interface and the same size.
Free to do what we want that does not harm others. Free to express ourselves. Free to take risks. Free to just do it because no one else has done it before.
Sure the results are not useful, but is racing useful? Are any spectator sports useful? This is a very big problem in Georgia where HOPE pays out a specific amount but colleges get around it by charging fees for anything they can think they can get away with.
Should you go to a for profit. You should go to the best choice you can afford if that is what you want and you determine in your best interest. Some careers practically require it while others merely require it for advancement beyond certain points. It all comes down to, did you get what you paid for and is the cost relative to what you expect to make? The rule of thumb I have always read is, do not invest more into school than what you can make in a year from the actual job.

The one issue I had with BluRay from day one is that too many of the distributors put required ADs for other movies on the disc which play without your intervention and do their best to prevent you from skipping them. HDDVD did not allow this, it required discs to proceed to the menu or just play. I think this one of the bigger reasons Sony used to convince the other distributors to switch to their model.
Here I was hoping they had made Empire (old strategy game from DOS days) for the iPad/iPhone

That the purchases can be made for this company's product without buying the original product to allow in game purchases does seem odd. If they aren't getting the money then who is?
so if you don't like the current crop of apps just try out your hand with one of your own.

America has become their second priority behind themselves. Where we have such a convoluted tax system that the IRS's budget is two thirds of NASA's.
While I was not a fan of the shuttle program for many years it is the image people most associate with the American space program. They were big, bold, and beautiful, compared to simple rockets. Each launch was impressive. Unfortunately tragedy and money being directed at buying off people for votes will keep us from getting back to the good days of NASA. Sure we still fly the occasional probe and such but they don't inspire me at least, not like seeing men do something up "there".
but I doubt many would want to live under one. We have a good example of one which hits the news a lot, California. Their system for sponsoring referendums to state wide voting is a great example of why purely democratic processes can have outcomes that are not well received or in some cases down right spiteful.
Family is easy, just hand them the Kindle. Oh, wait, since its an electronic device we inherently think of it differently. It suddenly is ours, something we don't want to share.
How cheap can we get? 99 cents? I pay seven times that to see a movie at the theater and I cannot share that, except buy buying another ticket. There are books in our house only I have read and some I have never read. I can't recall the last time a friend asked to borrow one. A DVD cost $14.99 but I can share that, sure I get them cheaper, but in the end I am handing over the physical item.
99, 1.99, 2.99 or such to me is so cheap to private all the time access I could care less that I can share. Having to buy it at the costs of what it cost in hard copy might make me think different about it.
As in, instead of following your natural inclination you use an outside random event decide your next move you could keep the computer from establishing a pattern in your behavior. Like, using dice or basing your choice on single pull from a deck of cards. Otherwise I am quite sure it can establish a pattern regardless of what you do
Ars Technica reviewed the Xoom and it came out sounding like another typical shipped to early product laden with buggy software. From crashing apps to an expensive tablet with many advertised features not working, one of which requires the owner to ship it back to Motorola to enable!
The market is not being helped by products like the Xoom nor Honeycomb being in the state it is. Instead of stealing the iPad2's thunder they emphasize how much more refined it is and come off instead looking like cheap knockoffs, without the cheap price.
As for their pricing, well if you can't beat the user experience of the iPad you damn well better stomp it in pricing. Which means putting models a full hundred bucks under the iPad in pricing with the same form factor. Don't let people compare them side by side and give them obvious reasons to stick with the iPad. That means a good STABLE interface and the same size.
Free to do what we want that does not harm others. Free to express ourselves. Free to take risks. Free to just do it because no one else has done it before.
Sure the results are not useful, but is racing useful? Are any spectator sports useful? It all comes down to, did someone enjoy it, did someone find the technical limitations they had to engineer around interesting? There are many reasons to do this and I am sure many others not to do it. Yet where is the harm? Before someone screams "THE ENVIRONMENT" - go shove it, I really think there are bigger fish to fry than this.
and it was simply awesome. Obviously anyone listening to most news radio shows on their drive will have heard it. I wonder how much the current generation connects to those words? I know that some will equate it with Star Trek but I wonder how many have seen it. I was further amazed at how much his voice did not seem to have changed.
The original report was overly harsh and quickly got picked apart for purposefully twisted wording. Regardless, the report is highly flawed because it attempts to attribute a problem to all for profits while the investigators targeted four specific for profits. In other words, they cherry picked.
Worse, after they used the original report to generate a lot of negative press once the updated report was put out very little was mentioned of the change. Basically it was a tool of some agenda driven politicians to put out a message they want. While some of the findings are true the interpretations of the interactions between undercover investigators and the schools left a lot to be desired.
It also was a convenient foil to distract the public from the fact that so called not for profit schools have very rates and when backed by scholarship money that sets limits on what it pays simply move costs over to a new category called "fees" which essentially let them charge whatever they want. This is a very big problem in Georgia where HOPE pays out a specific amount but colleges get around it by charging fees for anything they can think they can get away with.
Should you go to a for profit. You should go to the best choice you can afford if that is what you want and you determine in your best interest. Some careers practically require it while others merely require it for advancement beyond certain points. It all comes down to, did you get what you paid for and is the cost relative to what you expect to make? The rule of thumb I have always read is, do not invest more into school than what you can make in a year from the actual job.
Really, how does this story rate posting here?
This is not even a thinly disguised attack piece. Yet another "if you don't subscribe to the current global warming facts you are an idiot" . As in, there is no room for debate, it has been decided, any contrary view is automatically wrong. Any discussion which does not state full agreement is wrong. Any facts not in the approved list are wrong.
So the entire basis to attack the other side simply is over the one issue Global Warming which is not even completely decided science. We get new information daily, we get contrary information daily, we get supportive information daily, yet the one thing we can guarantee is that the NYT will voice the opinions of the Democratic party as indisputable fact at all times.
