I am quite sure one could sit down and in the space of an hour or two come up with a list of many times when a war occurred that fixed more problems than it caused.

I would take Bush over Obama any day now. It took Obama nearly two weeks after a thousand dead in Libya before he actually said something and even then it was barely a whimper. It used to be that the US could literally stare down these 3rd world dictators (if anything Libya came turned 360 in the early 2000s) but now with our foreign policy which can be defined as "well, if we must get involved can we just apologize for something we did years ago".

Yes people die in wars and it seems every armed conflict going over 48 hours is a war if America is involved. Yet sometimes leaving a problem to fester will result in far more dead and suffering that either the threat of war or actually acting on it. So just because don't agree with a particular war does not mean others have to follow suit. They also are horrid in out door situations (low life mainly) and any where vibration can get to them, think garages either in or near the openers.

So far my three LED lights are just awesome. Good light dispersion and instant on. I have not tried any where the bulb is mounted horizontal, I have a few fixtures in the ceiling like that, but they do work well in my ceiling fan light fixtures and in bathrooms where the lights are pointed down. Haven't found a replacement for the globe lights that frequent bathrooms, I might end up ditching the fixtures.

Incandescent bulbs still have better variety in spectrum but outside of that I can think of only a few specialized uses their secondary effect; heat; warrants keeping them. OK, cost is their major benefit - at least up front cost.

I am all for keeping them on the death list as I hope it kicks LEDs makers into high gear. We can hope that Wal Mart decides to get behind LED lights like they did for CFLs, they seemed almost responsible for their overnight abundance and price drop. I really think Apple's lack of dock features is purely aesthetic, as in they don't want to sully their cases with a dock connector. For no other reason can I understand this lack of functionality, which btw is one one of most common reasons I keep getting told I could not have an Apple desktop at work. The second of course being cost structure involved as I would still need a license to run Windows for some business apps.

So what if there is one cable, now I will have a daisy chain of accessories? Will I have to hope all these makers put the connectors on the side I need them on, or provide them on both? Will I need a powered hub if I use too many connectors?
