Most of the SF I have read recently suggests that the Gas Giants (Jupiter and Saturn in this solar system) are the best places to 'mine' He3 Of course you can also get Deuterium in quantity there too.
"As usual, somehow an American agency has decided they have jurisdiction to claim/enforce property rights on something which international treaty forbids."
Any international treaty is worth just as much (ie jack shit) unless the international body ( I guess the UN) has spaceships and space marines to enforce the treaty.
"the rules of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, the primary hobbyist association*. The AMA bars flight over populated areas, "
I'd bet that 99% of people who have bought a drone in the last 3 years never had any involvrmrent with R/C aircratf before, and never heard of that AMA
"encouraging people to find a cow pasture IR something."
A cow pasture infrared? WTF
I don't think the farmer wants you disturbing his cows
"Do you believe the periodic table of elements is local to the Earth, or is it the same elements all over the place?"
I'd say they woould have different names on other planets, and in some parts of the universe there may not be many of the heavy elements, which need a supernova to be made.
(even on this planets, there are some places where Element #13 is called Aluminum, (the proper spelling is Aluminium)
Well, that's what I want to talk to you all about; endings. Now, endings normally happen at the end. But as we all know, endings are just beginnings.
You know, once these things really get started, it's jolly hard to stop them again. However, as we have all come this far, I think, under the circumstances the best solution is that we all just keep going. Let's keep this going in sight, never an ending. Let's remember that this world wants fresh beginnings.
I feel here, in this country, and throughout the world, we are crying out for beginnings, beginnings. We never want to hear this word "endings".
I know we all want to sit down. I know you want to take it easy. Of course we're looking for the good. Of course we're looking for the fresh start.
"Deep space exploration could benefit from that kind of durability."
Deep space tends to be very cold, and chemical batteries don't do to well in those conditions.
" It's lasted longer than most governments..."
Windows XP has lasted longer than most governments, when you think about it. Democracies tend to change after a few election cycles, and in the last couple of decades has seen the departure of a number of dictators
Australia isn't the only place in the southern hemisphere
" There are many wikis in the world, and they are not all Wikipedia."
This is true. "Wiki" is a girls name in Aotearoa. It is the shortened form of Wikitoria

Take a cut?
Will it be commanded by Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart ?
I thought Schroedinger's cat was cakked 'Pixel'
at least in Hazel Meade Stone's universe
Higher gasoline prices would be fine by me.
(I walk to work)
" first we need to drag a Red Dwarf star into our solar system."
We already have a few Red Dwarf stars here, like Craig Charles and Chris Barrie
Wouldn't it be easier to terraform the moons of gas giants
Why not convert a C17 - its more manoueverable, and can use smaller airfields

You don't need grandfathers to have paradoxes
Because people have been using largely the same UI for the last 19 years, and are used to it. Thats a good enough reason the screw it up isn't it.
I am sure Chrome and Firefox are well ahead on "new versions per month" stats
Still I wouldn't touch IE with the proverbial 3 metre citizen of Warsaw
"Governments are distinguished by wether or not"
A wether is a sheep. But then so are the people that vote

They'll do that in March anyway.

"What kind of delays are they expecting?"
There is a delay between the event and the observation of the event due to the speed of light.
milli is one thousandth, so Mega milli is a Kilo
Its just as well that we don't live in a democracy
